יוֹם שֵׁנִי אַחֲרֵי הַשְּׁקִיעָה 5:12 וְשֵׁשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה חֲלָקִים, עֶשְׂרִים דַּקּוֹת אַחֲרֵי הַשְּׁקִיעָה.
רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם כָּל יָכוֹל בְּמוֹלַד חֹדֶשׁ טֵבֵת שֶׁיָּחוּל עֶשְׂרִים דַּקּוֹת אַחֲרֵי הַשְּׁקִיעָה שֶׁל יוֹם שֵׁנִי 5:12 16 חֲלָקִים שֶׁיִּפָּתְחוּ כָּל 50 שַׁעֲרֵי בִּינָה, וְכָל ל"ב נְתִיבוֹת חָכְמָה בְּרֶגַע הַמּוֹלָד, כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב בְּפִרְקֵי דְּרַבִּי אֱלִיעֶזֶר 51 דַּף ק"א, שֶׁבְּרֶגַע הַמּוֹלָד נִפְתָּחִים כָּל נ' שַׁעֲרֵי בִּינָה, וְכָל ל"ב נְתִיבוֹת חָכְמָה בְּסוֹד גַּדְּלוּ לַה' אִתִּי = 411 טֵבֵת = 411, וּנְרוֹמְמָה שְׁמוֹ יַחְדָּו" שֶׁזֶּה סוֹד הַפָּסוּק שֶׁל חֹדֶשׁ טֵבֵת שֶׁהוּא בְּסוֹד נִקְרַת הַצּוּר שֶׁשָּׁם נִתְגַּלּוּ לְמֹשֶׁה רַבֵּינוּ 13 מִדּוֹת שֶׁל רַחֲמִים כְּמוֹ שֶׁכָּתוּב "הִנֵּה מָקוֹם אִתִּי" = 411 = טֵבֵת = 411 שֶׁכָּל מָקוֹם שֶׁכָּתוּב אִתִּי מְרַמֵּז לְחֹדֶשׁ טֵבֵת בִּפְרָט נִקְרַת הַצּוּר שֶׁהִתְגַּלָּה לְמֹשֶׁה בִּתְחִלַּת 40 יוֹם שְׁלִישִׁיִּים שֶׁשָּׁם אָמַר ה' לְמֹשֶׁה "הִנְנִי מַעֲבִיר כָּל טוּבִי עַל פָּנֶיךָ" שֶׁהֵם 13 מִדּוֹת שֶׁל רַחֲמִים שֶׁבָּהֶם כָּל הַטּוֹב וְהַחֶסֶד וְהֵם הַסּוֹלְחִים וְהַמּוֹחֲלִים עַל כָּל חֵטְא וְעָוֹן אֲפִלּוּ עַל חַיָּבֵי ד' מִיתוֹת בֵּית דִּין, כְּרִיתוֹת וּמַלְקוּת עֲשֵׂה וְלֹא תַּעֲשֶׂה, אֵין חֵטְא וְעָוֹן שֶׁל נִקְרַת הַצּוּר שֶׁהוּא סוֹד חֹדֶשׁ טֵבֵת אֵינָהּ מְכַפֶּרֶת וְלָכֵן בְּיוֹם הַכִּפּוּרִים בִּנְעִילָה אוֹמְרִים 13 פַּעַם 13 מִדּוֹת שֶׁל רַחֲמִים לְעוֹרֵר אֶת כָּל הָרַחֲמִים שֶׁבָּעוֹלָם פְּשׁוּטִים גְּדוֹלִים וְרַבִּים וּבְעִקָּר שֶׁה' יִתְבָּרֵךְ בְּעַצְמוֹ יִתְפַּלֵּל מֵעַתָּה בַּעֲדֵנוּ וְיָחִישׁ לָנוּ אֶת הַגְּאֻלָּה הַשְּׁלֵמָה וְיִבְנֶה לָנוּ אֶת בֵּית הַמִּקְדָּשׁ הַשְּׁלִישִׁי בִּמְהֵרָה, וְיִסְלַח וְיִמְחֹל לְכָל עֲוֹנֹתֵינוּ הַמְּזִידִים הָאֲנוּסִים וְהַשְּׁגָגוֹת וַאֲשֶׁר אֲנַחְנוּ עוֹשִׂים עִם דַּעַת וּבְלִי דַּעַת, עַל כֻּלָּם אֱלוֹהַּ סְלִיחוֹת סְלַח לָנוּ מָחַל לָנוּ כַּפֵּר לָנוּ. וְיָבִיא לָנוּ אֶת מָשִׁיחַ בֶּן דָּוִד בִּמְהֵרָה בְּיָמֵינוּ כְּהֶרֶף עַיִן אָמֵן נֶצַח סֶלָה וָעֶד.
Prayer for the New Moon of Tevet
On Monday evening, at 5:12 and sixteen parts, twenty minutes after sunset.
Master of the Universe, omnipotent, during the new moon of Tevet, which occurs twenty minutes after sunset on Monday at 5:12 and sixteen parts, may all fifty gates of understanding and all thirty-two pathways of wisdom be opened at the moment of the new moon, as written in Pirkei D’Rabbi Eliezer 51, page 101. It is taught that at the moment of the new moon, all fifty gates of understanding and thirty-two pathways of wisdom are revealed in the mystery of “Magnify the Lord with me = 411. Tevet = 411, and let us exalt His name together.”
This is the secret of the verse related to the month of Tevet, connected to the mystery of the cleft in the rock where the thirteen attributes of mercy were revealed to Moses, as it is written: "Here is a place with Me" = 411 = Tevet = 411. Wherever it says “with Me,” it hints specifically to the month of Tevet, particularly the cleft in the rock revealed to Moses at the beginning of the third forty days, when God said to Moses, "I will make all My goodness pass before you," referring to the thirteen attributes of mercy.
Through these attributes, all goodness and kindness are manifest; they are forgiving and pardoning for all sin and transgression, even those deserving the four death penalties of the court, excisions, lashes, positive and negative commandments. There is no sin or transgression that the cleft in the rock, the mystery of the month of Tevet, does not atone for.
Thus, on Yom Kippur, during the Ne'ilah prayer, we recite the thirteen attributes of mercy thirteen times to awaken all the simple, great, and abundant mercies in the world. Above all, may the Blessed God Himself pray on our behalf from now on, hasten our complete redemption, build the Third Temple for us speedily, forgive and pardon all our sins—whether intentional, coerced, or inadvertent—and those we commit knowingly or unknowingly.
For all these, O God of forgiveness, forgive us, pardon us, and atone for us. May He bring us Mashiach ben David quickly in our days, as swiftly as the blink of an eye. Amen, forever and ever.
