Last Thursday evening, the 22nd of Tammuz, marked the 36th anniversary of the passing of our community's leader, who continued the path of Rabbeinu HaKadosh in the last generation, the Tzaddik Moreinu HaRav Levi Yitzchak Bender zy"a (may his merit protect us).
His outstanding disciple -- who continues his path in the chain of Breslov tradition -- the Gaon and Tzaddik Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, lit a candle in honor of the pure soul of his primary teacher in the evening before entering to pray Maariv.
