A Prayer to Merit Falling Asleep Immediately, Sleeping a Deep and Healthy Sleep, Being Satisfied with Little Sleep, and Knowing There is None Besides Him

"TO SLEEP WELL AT NIGHT"

Master of the Universe, the Almighty, grant me the merit to fall asleep immediately, and to dream dreams only through angels. Through this, may the Chotama D'Atik (the Nose of the Ancient One, representing ultimate Divine mercy), the Nukva D'Pardashka (the Nostril of the Divine breath of life), and the Reisha D'Lo Ityada (the Unknowable Head, the highest level of Divine will) be revealed. Through this, may the closed Mem of the word "L'Marbeh" (representing the hidden light of Mashiach) be split open, as it is written: "To him who increases [L'Marbeh] the authority, and for peace without end, on the throne of David and on his kingdom, to establish it and to support it with justice and with righteousness from now and forever; the zeal of Hashem of Hosts will do this. The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it has fallen in Israel." Because the people of Israel mocked Isaiah the prophet and claimed, "The bricks have fallen, but we will build with hewn stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will replace them with cedars."
