A Prayer to Merit the Inter-Inclusion of the Tribes, the Nullification of the Kingdom of Haman, the Idolaters, and All the Wild Donkeys (Arodim), and to be Included in Yosef

A Ma'amar (Chassidic Discourse) for the Tenth of Teves, the Yahrtzeit (Anniversary of Passing) of Reb Noson
For on the Tenth of Teves, the letter 'Hey' of the Divine Name Havayah is completed through the ten tribes who become inter-included within one another. These are Reuven, Shimon, Levi, Yehudah, Yissachar, Zevulun, Dan, Naftali, Gad, and Asher. They are included in the month of Teves, which is the month that is included in the Sefiros (Divine emanations) of Netzach, Hod, and Yesod of Zeir Anpin. This represents the "middle bar that passes through from end to end." All of our spiritual work is to lengthen the letter 'Yud' so that it transforms into a 'Vav'. As it is written, "Moshe called Hoshea, Yehoshua" (adding a 'Yud' to his name). At the end of the Book of Devarim, Yehoshua receives the second 'Vav', which brings the name "Yehoshua" to its ultimate completion—an acronym for "Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust" (הָקִיצוּ וְרַנְּנוּ שׁוֹכְנֵי עָפָר). This is in order to connect the two foundations (Yesodos): the Yesod of Binah of Leah, which is the secret of Achashverosh, and the Yesod of Binah of Malchus, which is the secret of the Yesod of Rachel. When these two foundations connect, it brings about the nullification of the kingdom of the idolaters (Akum), which will take place on the Tenth of Teves. This is just as the kingdom of Haman was nullified over the course of seventy days, corresponding to the months of Cheshvan, Kislev, and the first ten days of Teves. For on the 16th of Nissan, Haman's kingdom was nullified—just one minute before he was supposed to receive the right to hang people as he wished. This nullification of Haman's kingdom on the 16th of Nissan was actually drawn from the spiritual power of the Tenth of Teves. Regarding this, it is stated: "On this very day, the king of Babylon laid siege to Jerusalem." The phrase "this very day" is also used regarding Yom Kippur, teaching us that the Tenth of Teves is exactly like Yom Kippur. In fact, the fast of the Tenth of Teves would override Shabbos if it were to fall on Shabbos. This is because the power of the Tenth of Teves is drawn from the highest spiritual realms—from Adam Kadmon of Adam Kadmon, from the Crown of the Crown (Atarah d'Atarah). This is the secret of the verse, "Let it come upon the head of Yosef, and upon the crown of the head (Kodkod) of the one separated from his brothers." Only Yosef merited this secret of the Kodkod, which is Adam Kadmon of Adam Kadmon. By this power, it is said regarding the tribe of Gad, "And he tears the arm, also the crown of the head (Kodkod)." This grants the power to defeat all enemies in the merit of the aspect of "the hairy crown of the head of him who goes on in his guilty ways." For only through the illumination of the Kodkod is it possible to cut off all the guilty ones. This will be accomplished by the tribe of Gad, from whom Eliyahu the Prophet emerged, and about whom it is said, "And he tears the arm, also the crown of the head." Binyamin represents the arm, as it is written, "And He dwells between his shoulders." Therefore, Eliyahu is also mentioned among the sons of Binyamin. Through the month of Teves, when the connection of Rachel and Leah takes place—whose combined gematria (numerical value) equals 274—we nullify all the wild donkeys (Arodim) in the world. These impure forces are drawn from the bones of the one whose bones should be ground to dust (Shchik Tamya), namely the wicked Bilaam and his friend Balak. Together, their names also share the gematria of 274, which is the exact gematria of Arad (עֲרָד - wild donkey) = 274. This is what Hashem asks Iyov: Are you able to escape the kelipah (impure husk) of Arod (which equals 274)? As the verse says, "Who has loosed the bands of the wild donkey (Arod)?"
