A Prayer to Merit the Opening of All the Gates of Wisdom and Understanding, the Revelation of the Song of Faith and Redemption, and to Merit Its Coming

The Secret of the Song of Faith: The Root of All Songs and Melodies
Master of the Universe, the Almighty, open for me all the gates of wisdom and understanding. As it is said regarding the month of Teves, "With Me from Lebanon, My bride, with Me from Lebanon you shall come; you shall sing from the peak of Amana, from the peak of Senir and Hermon" (Song of Songs 4:8). For in the month of Teves, the song of the Geulah (Redemption) is revealed—"you shall sing from the peak of Amana"—the song of emunah (faith), which is the root of all songs and melodies. Because in the month of Teves, we merit to enter the innermost sanctum, into the cleft of the rock, where the Hidden Light is concealed. This is the light of the seven days of Creation that we merited during Chanukah through the lighting of the Chanukah menorah. The menorah corresponds to the Menorah of the Holy Temple, which had seven branches, corresponding to the light of the seven days, the Hidden Light. For in the month of Teves, the Holy Temple of fire was supposed to descend. Therefore, the month of Teves embodies the verse, "For You meet him with the blessings of goodness; You set a crown of fine gold upon his head" (Psalms 21:4). This refers to the dove of Noah, which will come and set a crown of fine gold upon the head of King Mashiach. It will come from the "Bird's Nest" (Ken Tzippor), from the sanctuary of Mashiach where it was hidden. And may the verses be fulfilled in us: "For You make him most blessed forever; You make him glad with the joy of Your presence. For the king trusts in Hashem, and through the lovingkindness of the Most High he shall not be moved. Your hand will find all your enemies; Your right hand will find those who hate You. You will make them like a fiery oven in the time of Your anger; Hashem will swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire will devour them. Their offspring You will destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. For they intended evil against You; they devised a plot, but they will not succeed. For You will make them turn their backs; You will aim Your bowstrings at their faces. Be exalted, Hashem, in Your strength; we will sing and praise Your power" (Psalms 21:7-14).
