A Shiur for United Hatzalah Volunteers at the Residence of the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

On Wednesday, Parshas Tetzaveh, the night of the 9th of Adar, a shiur (Torah class) was held at the holy residence of Morinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a for the volunteers of 'United Hatzalah' who are students of the Rav shlit"a.
Below is a summary of the topics delivered by the Rav shlit"a during the shiur, which lasted about half an hour at his residence:
1. Why are there two days of Purim? After all, the Megillah only writes "Purim" once, and does not explicitly mention the Purim of walled cities (Mukafim). However, it can be explained that this is implied in the very word "Purim"—which is in the plural form. For example, Pesach is said in the singular, not "Pesachim." This comes to teach us that there are two days of Purim. But the Chiddushei HaRim explains that the inhabitants of the walled cities did not want to fight and make Purim; rather, they wanted to die al kiddush Hashem (sanctifying Hashem's Name).
2. It is written, "and the multitude of his sons" (Esther 5:11). Haman said, "I have 208 sons all over the world. Wherever Mordechai flees, we will catch him."
3. There are three different calculations for the seventy years of the Babylonian exile. The true calculation was the calculation of Daniel.
4. The story of the Get (divorce document) of Gallona, as well as the story of the Get of Cleves.
5. Achashverosh did not touch Esther; rather, Esther sent a shedah (female demon) in her place.
6. Huckabee said that Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel) belongs to the Jews "from the river of Egypt to the Euphrates River."
7. The bris milah (circumcision) does not hurt the baby at all; he cries because he is startled by the people around him. Moreover, scientific tests have shown that blood clots the fastest on the eighth day after a baby's birth.
8. Aner and Eshkol died during the circumcision of Avraham, because they did it out of peer pressure, while in truth they were against the covenant and advised him to do it in secret. However, Mamre, who advised him regarding the circumcision—advising him to do it publicly and not to fear anyone—merited to live, and the place "Elonei Mamre" was named after him.
9. Mamre was reincarnated as Abba Umana, who is mentioned in the Gemara regarding the verse "he shall surely heal" (Rapo Yerape).
