A Special Prayer for the Holiday of Shavuot by the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a - The Rav Requested to Distribute it in 50,000 Copies
Before you is a special prayer for the holiday of Shavuot written by our Teacher, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, who also requested to distribute it in 50,000 copies. Time is short, therefore everyone should print it in their location and distribute it. And through this, with Hashem's help, the merit of the Tzaddik will stand for us, and we will merit to be heralded with all good things.
Prayer in Honor of the Holiday of Shavuot, by the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a
Master of the World, Omnipotent One, grant me the merit in honor of the holiday of Shavuot that my mind be opened, and that all the screens be removed from me. May all the partitions and smoke be removed from me, and may I no longer have any screen or partition upon the brain. May my brain be—from the holiday of Shavuot, which is the holiday of the Giving of the Torah—pure, lucid, bright, and illuminated. And everything I study, may I absorb in mere seconds, without any hindrance, confusion, or hesitation.
And may I no longer have any doubts during study. May the study shine for me with a precious light, and may they see upon me during study a precious light, a glowing light, just as they saw upon Yonatan ben Uziel, and upon Rabbi Akiva, and upon Elazar ben Arach, and upon Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, who were surrounded by flames of fire during their study. So too, may I merit to learn with tremendous fervor and tremendous yearning, and may everyone see how flames of fire surround me during the study. For the holiday (11) of Shavuot (787) = 798 is the Gematria of Torah Tziva Lanu [The Torah commanded to us] (611 + 101 + 86 = 798).
And may I merit to learn with a burning fire day and night = 177, and through this may I merit to enter Gan Eden with my body = 177. Like Serach (508) bat (402) Asher (501), and through this may I merit the level of Yechida (37) = 1448. And through this may we merit the building (112) of Jerusalem (596) our Holy (460) City (280) = 1448. And through this, "Call out (291) to Hashem (56) all (50) the earth (296), break forth (184) and sing (312) and play music (259)" = 1498. "May the words (251) of my mouth (90) and the meditation (80) of my heart (42) be (31) acceptable (376) before You (190), Hashem (26), my Rock (306) and my Redeemer (56)" = 1498.
And in this merit, may I learn Torah day and night (177). As it is said, "My Torah (1016) do not (31) forsake (491)" = 1538. And through this may I merit to enter with my body into Gan (53) Eden (124) = 177. And may I merit to learn 1000 years without a moment or second of interruption, as it is said, "For a thousand (111) years (400) in Your eyes (182) are like a day (66) that passed (437) yesterday (30), for (282) it shall pass" = 1538.
