"After they sinned with the Golden Calf, they have no rectification except through the True Tzaddik" • The Daily Lesson from the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Before you is a summary of topics from the daily lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a - yesterday after the Maariv (evening) prayer, Thursday night, the 5th of Kislev, Parshas Vayetzei:
The situation is getting worse from day to day; the children are throwing stones, because if a child does not study Torah, he throws stones. The girls, says the Shelah HaKadosh, did not absorb the filth of the Serpent because they did not give their earrings and bracelets [for the Golden Calf] until they [the men] tore them from their ears; therefore, they were given Rosh Chodesh (the New Month) as two days of prayer. On every Rosh Chodesh, the sun is connected with the moon; this is the secret of Rosh Chodesh HaMolad (the birth of the new moon), connecting the sun and the moon—the secret of 7 times 7 times 7. Yaakov (Jacob) departs from Be'er Sheva—this is 7 times 7 times 7, the fifty gates of Binah (understanding). The daughter has fifty gates of Binah; she has an intellect a million times greater than the man. The daughters did not fear the giants [the spies saw], but the men lost their Emunah (faith). A woman does not lose her Emunah. Korach said all the miracles were a fata morgana (mirage)—that a person can see a sea, but Moshe (Moses) did not split the sea, just like with the Sheikh of Rabbi Chaim Farhi, where the Jewish children disturbed him during his afternoon nap. Like here, thirty ushers are needed at minimum; if not, everyone should redeem himself with a donation to the operation—everyone should take a flyer and fill in the slot if he gives a few hours a week. So this Sheikh, the children apparently threw stones or threw a ball and hit the window; he caught five children there and put them in jail, in prison. The girls have nothing to do with this at all; the daughter did not sin, the daughter is clean from the Yetzer Hara (evil inclination). Rashi says, "And among these there was not a man"—600,000 men died, divided by 38 years is exactly 15,882 [per year]. All the children dig graves with the father; Tisha B'Av (the fast day of mourning) was not like here—there they truly wept, knowing that father was going to Gan Eden (Paradise) or Gehinnom (Purgatory). The woman screams throughout the camp. At age sixty, one must part. The mothers remained widows because the mothers had to prevent the husbands from going to the dances of the [Golden] Calf, but they [the men] gave a kiss and were liable for death. A woman needs to give her husband a "club" [metaphorically] so he doesn't go to Korach, to the Calf, to the Spies. The sons fell in all the trials in the desert; the women did not. A daughter is not confused by anything—not by Korach, not by the Spies, and not by the Calf. The men said, "This is the ox in the Chariot" [referring to the Golden Calf]. The men said it is not from "the heavens above"; the girls said it was not so. A woman has no connection to any sin; a woman has no connection to anything. A woman is as she learned in her parents' home, in school, in the seminary. Every woman should be a principal, to open a seminary in Be'eri; then all the girls would go with dresses and not with pants and tattoos—otherwise, they are in the tunnels with terrible tortures, they torture them until they die. Now until the 1st of Nissan there will be a break, except for Chanukah. The girls are infinitely greater than the man; it is written in the Etz Chaim that the daughter is in the Chochmah (wisdom) of BAN [a Divine Name] and the man is in half of Binah (understanding). The Keter (crown) of BAN is divided into two; the woman is in Chochmah. The Chochmah of the woman is infinitely greater than the man's; she can grasp [a concept] in a single second. The girls learned from Chava Stern what is learned in four years. The men do not know on their own; the boys leave the frameworks. There is no point in getting married because if they are not capable of opening a Gemara (Talmud), then they will throw stones. After they sinned with the Golden Calf, they have no rectification except through the True Tzaddik.
