Amazing: The Tzaddik's Blessing was Fulfilled Exactly - A First-Hand Account
Nachman (Baruch) Sagiv from Bat Yam was once a well-known and successful model until our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days), brought him and his friends back in teshuvah (repentance). Today, Sagiv is a kollel (institute for advanced Torah study) student who learns in the Rav's shlit"a Chatzos (midnight prayer) kollel in Bat Yam, and he has a very powerful story to tell about a miracle that occurred with our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a.
"We went through five years of exile, suffering, and pain without the Tzaddik (holy righteous person); now we need to focus only on receiving the light of the Tzaddik and elevating it. We have no interest in speaking about others; it won't help us at all, it will only break our souls. Everyone needs to enliven themselves from the light of the Tzaddik, like Beis Hillel (in the famous dispute with Beis Shammai regarding the way to light Chanukah candles) who 'goes and adds' light," Sagiv gives a short introduction before sharing his story with us.
"My friend Moshe and I traveled to visit our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, in Amsterdam (when the Rav was there in his exile). I have two friends from the Chatzos kollel in Bat Yam; one has three daughters and the other has no children at all. The friend with the daughters asked me to mention him to the Rav shlit"a and that he should bless him with a male son."

"Although I came to the Tzaddik with many lists of requests and names to mention, I still felt pain for that young man. I told his story to the Rav shlit"a, who indeed called and spoke with him on the spot. 'On the 10th of Sivan, your wife will embrace a child,' our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, told him, and in fact, promised him that his wife would give birth to a male son on that exact date—I was present during the conversation."
"Well, even though this fellow loves our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, as time passed, doubts began to enter his heart. Would his wife even conceive? And if so, who said it would be a boy? And overall, who said it would be on the exact date the Rav shlit"a said?"

"In short, gentlemen," Sagiv turns to all those who seek the truth. "Today, the 10th of Sivan, my friend Kfir Bracha calls me and informs me that exactly today his wife gave birth to a son. The Tzaddik decreed in Amsterdam, in the sense of 'the Tzaddik decrees (and Hashem fulfills),' that on the 10th of Sivan she would give birth to a son—and so it was. 'Today at 5:30 in the afternoon, my wife gave birth to a male son.'"
"Kfir Bracha told me that he publicized the miracles of our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, throughout Bat Yam; the Tzaddik is alive and well. See what the power of the Tzaddik is! What the Ruach HaKodesh (Divine Inspiration) of Rabbi Berland is! The Tzaddik decrees and the Creator of the World fulfills.
With Hashem's help, our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, will also be the Sandek (the one who holds the baby) at the infant's Bris (circumcision ceremony), and we will all be there with him together—when you also come to the prayer.
