And What is Sealed with the King's Ring Cannot be Revoked • Maariv Prayer and Megillah Reading for the Night of Triple Purim

The fourth consecutive year that we merit to spend the holiday of Purim in the holy presence—together with the Mordechai HaTzaddik (the righteous Mordechai) of our generation, who, as per his promise, seals with his ring all those who take shelter in his shadow during the holy days of Purim. This year, there are three holy and awesome days starting with the night of Purim de-Prazim (Purim of the unwalled cities), continuing through Shabbos Kodesh Shushan Purim, and ending on Sunday, the Triple Purim de-Mukafin (Purim of the walled cities). How fortunate we are, how good is our portion, that we merited all the abundance of the "Hungarian wine" which was poured according to the law without compulsion and according to the will of each and every person!
Before you is an extensive report from the holy night of Purim, the eve of the 14th of Adar, in which we merited the Maariv (evening prayer) of the holy day and the reading of the Megillah (Scroll of Esther):
At 6:15 PM, our teacher, the Rav shlit"a, entered for the Purim night prayer, crowned with a Techeiles Tallis (prayer shawl with blue fringes) and dressed in white garments interwoven with royal gold. He immediately began singing "Or Zarua LaTzaddik" (Light is sown for the righteous) as thousands stood in the plaza of our Beis Medrash (study hall) beneath the balcony of his home. This year, due to the Triple Purim, people came from all over the country to hear the Mordechai HaTzaddik of our generation during the Maariv prayer and the Megillah reading on that night when the King of the World hears every cry of those who turn to Him. On that night, the Rav shlit"a approached the "Light of Lights." After about twenty minutes, he said Kaddish and began the Maariv prayer of this holy and awesome night. As he mentioned in previous days during the Daily Lesson, this night is like the night of Yom Kippur and even higher than "Kol Nidrei." After the prayer, the Rav shlit"a entered his home for a ten-minute break. Upon returning, he began delivering an awesome lesson, strengthening the listeners regarding the holy days of Purim, during which we are now situated for three days in "Reisha D'Lo Isyada" (the Unknown Head—the highest Kabbalistic level), a place that precedes the Sin. These are three days in which one can transcend all physical desires. The Rav emphasized not to become so intoxicated that one reaches a state where they cannot pray, G-d forbid, or even worse, where they might hurt one another. At 7:00 PM, the Rav shlit"a recited the three blessings and began the Megillah reading. For forty full minutes, the Rav shlit"a read the Megillah with trembling and awe. The Rav lived every single verse and every section of the Megillah as if the miracle of Purim was happening right before him, renewed at every moment. As in every year, the Rav's voice choked with tears at the verse "And when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Avihail the uncle of Mordechai..." which was read with great deliberation, and also at the verse "to destroy, to kill, and to annihilate." It is impossible to describe the intensity within the Megillah reading, with the special melody and the pure tone of the Mordechai HaTzaddik of our generation! At the conclusion of the Megillah reading, the Rav shlit"a recited the blessing "HaRav Es Riveinu" (Who pleads our cause) and then began singing "Shoshanas Yaakov" (The Rose of Jacob) for about 5 minutes. The enthusiastic joy that had been contained throughout the holy and awesome Megillah reading burst forth with power, and dances quickly filled the entire plaza, accompanied by the orchestra—joy and gladness for Shuvu Banim! The dancing continued even during "Uva LeTzion" (And a redeemer shall come to Zion), which is said after the Megillah reading; the Rav shlit"a extended the singing of "Baruch Hu Elokeinu" (Blessed is He, our G-d) and "Hu Yiftach Libeinu BeToraso" (May He open our hearts to His Torah) for about twenty minutes. Afterward, the Rav shlit"a concluded the prayer and gave a short lesson, after which he entered his holy home at 8:22 PM, following more than two hours (2:07) that we merited on this holy night of Purim.
