Appreciation Ceremony for the Partners of the Beis Medrash with the Participation of the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

This past Thursday, the night of the 29th of Tammuz, an appreciation ceremony was held for the partners of 'Ichud Chasidei Breslov Shuvu Banim'.
The ceremony took place in our Beis Medrash (study hall) at 14 Ido HaNavi Street, with the participation of our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, who delivered a lesson lasting nearly 25 minutes. After the lesson, the partners passed before the holy presence to receive a blessed apple from our teacher, the Rav shlit"a.
Torah 85 [in Likutey Moharan], the secret of the luz bone (the indestructible bone at the top of the spine). Tu B'Av (the 15th of Av) is the time for shidduchim (marriage matches). Now we eat eggs, because an egg takes 21 days to hatch; the Gemara (Talmud) in Bechoros says that an egg and the luz bone are the same, as both are completed in 21 days. In 5705 (1945), the Rebbe of Boyan, Rabbi Aryeh Leib Zilberman, did not agree to light the bonfire in Meron; he said he was waiting to see the moon. Finally, fifteen minutes before the moon rose, a telegram arrived that "that man" (Hitler) had committed suicide. Then the Rebbe says that in these days "the purple garment was torn" (a Kabbalistic reference to the destruction of evil) because of the intense light that caused the clothes to tear. The Beis HaMikdash (Holy Temple) exists and stands; "show us its building," meaning we should see it, but it exists in Heaven. All the stones built by David and Solomon exist. "Behold, I will set your stones in fair colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires." All the stones are diamonds. "Both the lion and the bear"—David tore three lions and four bears to pieces. Samson killed one lion, and when he saw bees eating its carcass, he said, "Out of the eater came something to eat, and out of the strong came something sweet." Elisha incited the bears against forty-two children; according to one opinion, there were no bears and no forest, for the tzaddik can create both bears and a forest. So Reb Noson says, if you can create a forest and bears from nothing, then you can also create a new soul for these children. "Do not distress Moab, nor contend with them in battle"—so why was Balak afraid? Rather, he said, "He is too mighty for me," for I see that from me will come King David, who will cut off Moab. Balak merited a granddaughter like Ruth because he prayed and offered burnt offerings to Hashem. Balak said, "I see that from Ruth will come David who will cut me off." Joab stabbed Abner; then Abner said, "Now I am my own blood redeemer." Everyone fell at his feet and said, "All our Chiefs of Staff will be killed..." The Midrash says that for every lion, a Bas Kol (Heavenly Voice) goes out and tells it which sheep it will eat that day. So the lions that the Bas Kol told to go to the white sheep, Jacob tore them to pieces—two in the morning and two at night. The Rambam (Maimonides) says the night was not created for sleep; the night was created for learning. To learn Torah 85, so that there will be the Resurrection of the Dead. One must know that whoever we pray for in these days, we effect all the yeshuos (salvations). There will be no miscarriages; it is written that in the future, a woman will conceive and give birth on the same day. When they brought up the Ark, it is written that King David walked barefoot. And also, "Because they sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes"—why did they go without shoes? He explains that wherever the tzaddik is, every meter is the Holy of Holies (Kodesh Kodashim). Here in Shuvu Banim, it is the Holy of Holies. When they sold Joseph, the holiness departed, so they needed shoes.
