"Because She Danced at Weddings, She Cannot Be Touched" – Words of the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a: Watch

A wonderful lesson from our teacher, the holy Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days).

From the words of the Tzaddik (righteous man):

"The Rebbe (Rebbe Nachman) saw a dream where everyone was jumping and dancing—the main thing is jumping, jumping with giant leaps. Because the Rebbe says, 'and all the substance that was at their feet' (Deuteronomy 11:6), the moment a person jumps, he draws down all the wealth; the moment a person jumps, he merits all the wealth."

"Because there were 600,000 towns, and in every town there were two prophets, which equals 1,200,000. Jezebel made a tikkun (rectification) for 1,200,000 prophets. Elijah the Prophet said that because she jumps [dances] at weddings, she cannot be touched."

"Jacob had 1,200,000 dogs. To feed them, he had to bring foreskins, just like David. Saul told him, 'Bring 100,' and he brought 200. This morning we said this wasn't right, as one must pay for every drop of blood of the gentiles. The explanation is that Jacob had 1,200,000 dogs and [needed] foreskins."

"Every dog needs to eat a foreskin. It turns out that David, instead of slaughtering 1,200,000 Philistines, slaughtered only 200. The Philistines."
