Before you is a summary of the daily lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days) – yesterday after the Maariv (evening) prayer, Sunday night, the 13th of Sivan, Parshas Behaaloscha:

Now we are learning about the "silver bowl, its weight was one hundred and thirty" (Numbers 7:13). These are the one hundred and thirty years [of separation] from Adam HaRishon (the first man) from which all of Hamas and Hezbollah emerged. Currently, there are twenty hostages in Gaza; they are bound in chains by their hands and feet—everyone who comes out tells of this. Now, three more hostages have been killed. On Shabbos (the Sabbath), four soldiers were killed. Now, in all the kibbutzim, they want to open seminaries because all the girls were taken captive to Gaza. Now they have found the body of Muhammad Sinwar. Eliyahu HaNavi (Elijah the Prophet) slaughtered eight hundred and fifty [false prophets], and afterwards slaughtered another fifty-one and another fifty-one—together that is nine hundred and fifty-two. Now he goes to every Bris (circumcision ceremony). It’s good they don’t broadcast this on television; otherwise, they wouldn’t let him enter the Brissos (circumcisions)... Currently, there are 55 hostages in Gaza. Bibi [Netanyahu] is stubborn and doesn't want to release them; they want them to give them Jerusalem. Now a window was broken in the Supreme Court; a fundraiser should be held where everyone contributes a shekel to fix the window... Anyone who knows the story knows that this is fitting for Purim. As brought in the Ketzos HaChoshen (a classic legal commentary) 291, that if someone lends a sword—if he initially lent it as gold and in the end it was only plated with silver... Today, every gram of silver costs a dollar, and gold is a hundred dollars per gram. One must know how to turn metal into gold; the Rebbe [Nachman] already said this on the third day. Similarly, it is brought in the Chovos HaLevavos (Duties of the Heart) which says to stop saying that metal can be turned into gold. Because lead is 82 [atomic number] and gold is 79—you remove three protons and it becomes gold. They did this, but it didn't last because it crumbled. Lead comes from uranium; it takes six thousand years until it turns into lead. Marie Curie invented the formula and bought thousands of [units of] radium; in the end, she went blind from it. Her husband received the Nobel Prize ten years later but was killed immediately after in a road accident. Now there was also a road accident at the Segev junction. On Shabbos, four were killed in road accidents and four in Khan Yunis. This is all because the girls need to wake up at Chatzos (midnight) to say Tehillim (Psalms). Now, for two months, Chatzos will be at 2:10 AM. Now we say Tehillim until eleven and afterwards study Joshua, Judges, and Samuel regarding Yoav, who was the redeemer of the blood of Asahel and stabbed Avner. He [Avner] could have taken revenge and killed Yoav in return, but they fell at his feet and begged that no Chief of Staff should remain. So Avner overcame himself and did not kill Yoav, and therefore merited to be higher than Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and merited to be buried in the Cave of Machpelah—we must go there every time. Until Monday night, the 8th of Tishrei, there will be a long Chatzos (midnight prayer period); afterwards, there will be a short Tikkun Chatzos until Thursday, the 1st of Cheshvan. Now, at five to nine, all the girls say Tehillim so that people stop being killed. The boys do not go to sleep until 5:30 AM, the Netz (sunrise). At 6:00 AM, the prayer ends; then it's possible to sleep for two hours until 8:00 AM. The girls go to sleep after Tikkun Chatzos until 8:30 AM; everyone is in the seminaries until the 5th of Tammuz, and they will return on the 6th of Elul. Now we say Tehillim. In Johannesburg, the girls said five books of Tehillim every day, and in that merit, the Rav returned to the Land [of Israel]. And everyone should learn [the laws of] unloading and loading (Prika u'Teina), and afterwards learn that there were two billion six hundred million. Because Joash, at age seven, they said he was a god, so he became confused. And when they said Moses died and Joshua would lead them in, they wanted to kill him. This is what is written—that Moses saw the humility of Joshua, so he added the letter 'Yud' to his name [changing it from Hoshea to Yehoshua]. This was in the merit of the 'Heh' of Sarah who waited four hundred years, because whoever has the 'Yud' of Sarah can conquer the entire world. The Jews can conquer the entire world!
