Listen: Rabbi Lior Glazer shlit”a is Enthralled by His Visit to Rabbi Berland shlit”a

Rabbi Lior Glazer shlit"a, a senior lecturer at Arachim who is entrusted with bringing many back in teshuvah (repentance) and is famous for his fiery sermons, arrived for a visit with The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. "We are still experiencing great lights; it is impossible to describe the atmosphere, the holy air. The entire Hadassah Ein Kerem hotel facility is burning in the air, as if it has risen several handbreadths above the ground. Rabbi Berland shlit"a sat there, with several books open on the table; he lifted his eyes, and we literally saw the light of God bursting forth from them," described Rabbi Glazer shlit"a regarding his impressions of the visit.

Within five minutes, the Rav ascended to very high tones. There was a voice development teacher with us who said that this was simply superhuman. We even took a break on the road, yet the Rav on the disc continued to scream [in prayer and study] in the same tone and at the same pitch."

"When I entered to see Rabbi Berland shlit"a today, there were simply no words. You just sit, listen, look, and delight. It is high above high, something impossible to estimate or describe—what joy, what gladness. Many Gedolei Yisrael (great Torah leaders) studied Torah with joy, but here you see a man who is in Chedva d'Oraita (the joy of Torah) 24 hours a day."
"The Rav is literally an angel, connecting everyone together. Even the security guards there are laughing and excited to be near him. If it were possible, we would have come with buses, but due to constraints, we arrived as a small group. There were two with us who could not enter. I thought that when I went outside they would be in sadness, but they told me, 'Leave it, we felt the light from the walls.' If they told me I was going to meet the happiest person in the world, I would not expect to see a person like Rabbi Berland shlit"a—all the more so when we know all the suffering and illnesses he has undergone."
"They say that a person who has not studied Torah cannot understand what Torah is. I say, a person who has not seen Rabbi Berland, truly, truly, cannot understand what Rabbi Berland is. I can say," says Rabbi Glazer shlit"a, "truly, until today I was an admirer, but with all his classes and sermons that I heard, I did not know Rabbi Berland. Until you see the face, you do not know what is being discussed."

"I told Rabbi Berland that I saw he was among the first to say that whoever possesses [unfiltered] internet has no share in the World to Come, and the Rav answered me, 'You will see that we will purge all the impurity from the world. Not a single iPhone will remain in Israel; people already recognize this impurity'."
"The elders of Pardes Katz told me that 35-40 years ago, the Rav would sit for entire days inside a small booth in the Libyan synagogue in Kiryat Herzog and study Torah without pause, days and nights alike. Now, when we arrived for the visit, Rabbi Berland shlit"a gave an approbation there to someone organizing prayers with melodies in Pardes Katz and told him with absolute self-nullification, 'Organize an apartment for me, and I will come to spend Shabbat with you in Pardes Katz.' Rabbi Berland does not say no; he is completely nullified [to Hashem's will]. After giving away his gartel (prayer belt), he gave his kippah to someone who asked. One person told him to call him; the Rav answered him to bring a phone and he would call him right now."
