Mincha Prayer at the Breslov Shul in Mea Shearim - Erev Yom Kippur 5780
Yom Kippur in the presence of our teacher, the holy and righteous Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days), rose to great heights in an atmosphere of holiness and spirituality. The central synagogue of the Breslov Chassidim, the "Shul," was filled to capacity, as masses waited outside for a long time until it was finally opened to the worshippers. All the Yom Kippur prayers were led by the students of the Rav shlit"a, according to the traditional liturgy (nusach) accepted in Breslov Chassidus since ancient times. Before the holiness of Yom Kippur descended, masses of Shuvu Banim Breslov Chassidim arrived to pray the special Mincha (afternoon prayer) for Erev Yom Kippur in the Shul. The prayer, along with the Vidui (confession prayer), was recited with intense devotion, as the hearts of the worshippers stirred before the great day that was approaching.
