Prayers to merit to Hitbodedut by Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a.

As is known, a central teaching of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov is the importance of the daily practice of hitbodedut, secluding oneself in prayer and meditation with the Creator. Therefore, we bring before you a series of prayers written by Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a to merit to this exalted practice:

Ribbono Shel Olam – Master of the World, Who can do everything, let me merit to do an hour of hitbodedut every single day, and to learn Torah day and night and to enter the Garden of Eden with my body, and that the angels “Nuriel, Gavriel, Rafael, and Michael” should accompany me day and night, and may I merit to the intellect of Rabbeinu Nachman ben Simcha ben Feiga.

Ribbono Shel Olam – Master of the World, Who can do everything, let me merit to be a true Tzaddik from today forward, like our holy and awesome Rebbe, and to be exactly like our holy and awesome Rebbe, and that I should not miss a single day without an hour of hitbodedut, and that every day I should learn Kitzot HaChoshen for a full hour, from siman 209 until the end, and that every day I should go to the mikveh as early as possible.

Ribbono Shel Olam – Master of the World, let me merit [in reaching the age of 18, the age of chai, and 20 times chai is the numerical value of Shas (360), that I should merit to the aspect of kaf (20) chai, and kaf is the aspect of Keter (Crown), the aspect of “Katar Li Zeir – Wait for me a little”] to receive all insults with love, and in the merit of this, let me merit to know all of Shas forwards, backwards and in depth, and three times “Shas” with its six letters (ש"ס=360 ש"ס=360 ש"ס=360) is the numerical value of all the holy matriarchs “Sarah=505 Rivka=307 Rachel=238 and Leah=36” = 1086, that they are the numerical value of three times “Shas” and its six letters. Please, Merciful and Gracious One, let me merit [to be awake during the first fifty nights of the age of 18, and in the merit of this, may I merit] to see Rabbeinu HaKadosh face-to-face, just like Adel bat Rabbeinu merited to see Rabbeinu HaKadosh face-to-face; so give me the merit, in the merit of learning the holy Shas, to see Rabbeinu HaKadosh face-to-face. Therefore, face to face (פנים=180 פנים=180) equals 360 - Shas. Please, Merciful and Gracious One, let me merit from this day forward that not even one day of all the days of my life will pass without an hour of hitbodedut, and in the merit of this, may I merit to know all of Shas forwards and backwards, in breadth and in depth, because the moment that a person merits to speak between himself and his Creator, in the merit of this, he feels HaKadosh Baruch Hu face-to-face, and in the merit of this, he merits to know Shas. Therefore, between man and his creator (בין=62 אדם=45 לבין=92 קונו=162) equals 361 - Shas with the kollel.
