"Only Souls of Adam Kadmon Can Draw Near to the Tzaddik" • A Lesson from the Melaveh Malkah of Parshat Noach by the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Before you is a summary of topics from the lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days), during the fourth meal, Melaveh Malkah (the meal accompanying the departing Queen Sabbath), on the conclusion of the holy Sabbath of Parshat Noach:

On Chanukah, the Third Holy Temple will be built. Rebbe Nachman said that one day everyone will disagree with me and only five people will remain with me, who are souls of Adam Kadmon (the primordial man/highest spiritual realm), because only souls of A"K (Adam Kadmon) can draw near to the Tzaddik. Everyone who comes to Shuvu Banim (the Rav's yeshiva) is from the souls of A"K. Since Simchat Torah 5784 (2023), 1,800 people have been killed; "and the earth was filled with violence (chamas)"—it is all hinted at in the Torah portion. The Chazon Ish zt"l (of blessed memory) said that after 70 years they would conquer the entire land, and that is what happened; there were no weapons—Gallant took all the weapons, and whoever had a weapon had their bullets taken away. Until the Holy Temple was built, Shechem (Nablus) was the place of prayer. There, Avraham built the first altar, and there everyone prayed. One must pray Maariv (the evening prayer) and not speak in the middle of the prayer; Rebbe Nachman said, "Crumple my books, but do not transgress even one clause of the Shulchan Aruch (the Code of Jewish Law)." One must answer "Amen"; the "Amen" is greater than the blessing itself. The Amshinover Rebbe shlit"a would spend from 5:00 AM until 12:00 PM just answering "Amen" to every blessing. One must break the smartphones; it is the role of the wife to guard her husband so that he does not have one. If the women had threatened to divorce their husbands before they went to the dances of the Golden Calf, they would not have remained widows. Korach said that Moshe (Moses) is a magician and all the miracles are a fata morgana (mirage)—it is an optical illusion. Moshe was left with only seven for a minyan (quorum of ten for prayer), so he took Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov to complete his minyan. The wife of On ben Pelet gave her husband champagne; she told him, "You are exempt from Tefillin (phylacteries); anyone who disagrees with the Tzaddik is exempt from Tefillin." Women must wear long dresses; every day soldiers are being killed, and they say that yeshiva students will also fall as casualties, but if they keep the Sabbath, no one will fall as a casualty at all. Immediately after the Melaveh Malkah, lengthen the dress to the ankle, and through this, we will merit the complete Geulah (Redemption) speedily in our days, Amen!
