Hundreds of thousands of Jews will make their way today on the path ascending to the "holy city descending from heaven" (Meron) for the Hillula (celebration of the anniversary of passing) of the holy man of G-d, Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai zy"a (may his merit protect us).

Especially this year, when the crowds are expected to be heavy, we must all arm ourselves with prayer in order to merit reaching the holy Tziyon (tomb). Our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, wrote a special prayer for this today, on the eve of Lag BaOmer 5785 (2025). Before you is the prayer for reading and downloading:

Passing Through All the Checkpoints and Arriving on Time for the Lighting with the Rav

Master of the Universe, Almighty One, from Whom no purpose can be withheld, merit us to pass through all the checkpoints in peace and to arrive on time for the lighting ceremony with the Rav, as it is written: "And you 447 who cling 161 to Hashem 28 your G-d 106 are alive 69 all of you 110 today 61 = 987." And may He help 299 that we pass through all the checkpoints in peace, and He will protect 69 and save 402 all 80 who take refuge 129 in Him 8 = 987.
