Prayer for the New Term and Success in Studies and Exams

Master of the Universe, Almighty, grant me the merit, in the merit of the month of Elul, which is the opening to the new year, the astrological sign of 'Betulah' (Virgo) which signifies a rebirth and being formed anew. Grant me the merit to succeed in all my studies, and to know the Shas (the entire Talmud) forwards and backwards, with broad proficiency (bekius) and deep analysis (iyun), word by word, letter by letter. And may I not miss a single letter from the Shas, Heaven forbid, nor from the Ketzos HaChoshen, nor from the Nesivos HaMishpat, nor from the Urim VeTumim, nor from Tokpo Kohen, nor from the holy Rambam, nor from the Shulchan Aruch, nor from the Tur, Rosh, Rif, Rashba, Ramban, Ritva, Meiri, and all the commentaries in the world. And may I merit to learn everything truly for the sake of Heaven, for the sake of the holy and pure Torah, for the sake of revealing the light of truth in the world, and the light of the tzaddik in the world. And in the merit of learning the holy Torah, and in the merit that I will succeed in all the exams in the world, and that I will learn Torah day and night = 177, 24 hours without stopping for a moment or a second, I will enter the Garden of Eden with my physical body = 177, like Serach the daughter of Asher = 1411. And through this, may I merit to subdue all the 11 chieftains of Esau (representing the forces of impurity), and I will have no ego or self-importance (yeshus) whatsoever. And through this, "and it was turned about, that [501] the Jews [80] should rule [355] over them [50] who hated them [414]" = 1411. And in the merit of learning the holy Torah 24 hours without stopping for a second, may I merit to ride and gallop upon 1,464 lions, like the soul of [790] Daniel [95], a man [311] greatly beloved [464] = 1659, the secret of "And they shall come [9] who were lost in the land of Assyria, and they that were dispersed in the land of Egypt; and they shall worship Hashem, the One = 1 in Jerusalem." And in this merit, may the spirit of Mashiach ben David rest upon me, as it is said, "And the spirit of Hashem shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom [73] and understanding [73], the spirit of counsel [165] and might [222], the spirit of knowledge [474] and of the fear of [617] Hashem [26] = 1659."
