Prayer: The Order of Hakafot

You have been shown to know that Hashem is God; there is none else besides Him.

To Him who alone does great wonders, for His loving-kindness is eternal.

There is none like You among the mighty, O Lord, and there are no deeds like Yours.

May the glory of Hashem endure forever; may Hashem rejoice in His works.

May the Name of Hashem be blessed from now and forever.

May Hashem our God be with us as He was with our forefathers; may He not leave us nor forsake us.

And say: "Save us, O God of our salvation, gather us and rescue us from the nations, to give thanks to Your holy Name, to glory in Your praise."

Hashem is King, Hashem was King, Hashem will be King forever and ever.

Hashem will give strength to His people; Hashem will bless His people with peace.

And may our words find favor before the Master of all.

The Ark is opened - And it came to pass when the Ark traveled, Moshe said: "Arise, Hashem, and let Your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate You flee from before You."

Arise, Hashem, to Your resting place, You and the Ark of Your strength.

Let Your priests be clothed in righteousness, and let Your pious ones sing joyously.

For the sake of David Your servant, do not turn away the face of Your anointed.

And it will be said on that day: "Behold, this is our God; we hoped in Him, and He saved us. This is Hashem in whom we hoped; let us exult and rejoice in His salvation."

Your kingdom is a kingdom of all worlds, and Your dominion is in every generation.

For from Zion shall go forth the Torah, and the word of Hashem from Jerusalem.

Father of Mercy, do good in Your favor to Zion; build the walls of Jerusalem.

For in You alone have we trusted, O King, God, exalted and uplifted, Master of worlds.

Afterward, all the Torah scrolls are taken out of the Ark, and the Bimah is circled seven times, while saying:

First Hakafah:

Please, Hashem, save us now! Please, Hashem, bring us success now! Please, Hashem, answer us on the day we call!

God of the spirits, save us now! Examiner of hearts, bring us success now! Mighty Redeemer, answer us on the day we call!

The Torah of Hashem is perfect, restoring the soul.

A Psalm of David: Ascribe to Hashem, O sons of the mighty, ascribe to Hashem glory and strength. Ascribe to Hashem the glory due to His Name; bow to Hashem in the beauty of holiness.

The voice of Hashem is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders, Hashem is upon many waters.

For the Conductor, with instrumental music, a Psalm, a song.

May God be gracious to us and bless us; may He make His face shine upon us, Selah.

Please, by the great power of Your right hand, release the bound.

For I said, the world is built on loving-kindness.

Second Hakafah:

Speaker of righteousness, save us now!

Majestic in His apparel, bring us success now! Ancient and Pious One, answer us on the day we call!

The testimony of Hashem is trustworthy, making the simpleton wise.

The voice of Hashem is in power.

To make known Your way on earth, Your salvation among all nations.

Accept the song of Your people; elevate us, purify us, O Awesome One.

Yours is an arm with might; strong is Your hand, exalted is Your right hand.

Third Hakafah:

Pure and Upright One, save us now! Compassionate to the poor, bring us success now! Good and Beneficent One, answer us on the day we call!

The precepts of Hashem are upright, gladdening the heart.

The voice of Hashem is in majesty.

The peoples will thank You, O God; the peoples will thank You, all of them.

Please, Mighty One, guard those who seek Your Oneness like the pupil of the eye.

You will give truth to Yaakov, loving-kindness to Avraham.

Fourth Hakafah:

Knower of thoughts, save us now! Mighty and Luminous One, bring us success now! Clothed in righteousness, answer us on the day we call!

The commandment of Hashem is clear, enlightening the eyes.

The voice of Hashem breaks the cedars; Hashem shatters the cedars of Lebanon.

He makes them skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox.

Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for You will judge the peoples fairly and guide the nations on earth, Selah.

Bless them, purify them, bestow upon them the mercies of Your righteousness always.

Pleasantness is in Your right hand forever.

Fifth Hakafah:

King of worlds, save us now! Luminous and Majestic One, bring us success now! Supporter of the fallen, answer us on the day we call!

The fear of Hashem is pure, enduring forever.

The voice of Hashem hews out flames of fire.

The peoples will thank You, O God; the peoples will thank You, all of them.

Immune and Holy One, with Your abundant goodness, guide Your congregation.

Hashem, our Lord, how majestic is Your Name in all the earth, You who have set Your glory upon the heavens.

Sixth Hakafah:

Helper of the poor, save us now! Redeemer and Rescuer, bring us success now! Rock of worlds, answer us on the day we call!

The judgments of Hashem are true, righteous altogether.

The voice of Hashem causes the desert to tremble; Hashem causes the desert of Kadesh to tremble.

The earth has yielded its produce; may God, our God, bless us.

Exalted Unique One, turn to Your people who remember Your holiness.

Hashem is righteous in all His ways, and pious in all His deeds.

Seventh Hakafah:

Holy and Awesome One, save us now! Merciful and Gracious One, bring us success now! Keeper of the Covenant, answer us on the day we call! Supporter of the perfect, save us now! Forever Mighty One, bring us success now! Perfect in His deeds, answer us on the day we call!

They are more desirable than gold, than much fine gold; sweeter than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.

The voice of Hashem frightens the hinds and strips the forests bare; and in His Temple, all proclaim, "Glory!"

Hashem sat enthroned at the Flood; Hashem sits as King forever.

Hashem will give strength to His people; Hashem will bless His people with peace.

May God bless us, and may all the ends of the earth fear Him.

Accept our cry and hear our scream, Knower of hidden things.

Yours, Hashem, is the greatness, the might, the glory, the victory, and the majesty, for all that is in heaven and on earth is Yours.

Yours, Hashem, is the kingdom, and You are exalted as head over all.

And Hashem will be King over all the earth; on that day, Hashem will be One and His Name One.

And in Your Torah it is written, saying: "Hear, O Israel: Hashem is our God, Hashem is One."

Blessed is the Name of His glorious kingdom for all eternity.

Chazzan (Cantor) - Let them praise the Name of Hashem, for His Name alone is exalted.

Congregation - His glory is upon earth and heaven.

He has raised the horn of His people, a praise for all His pious ones, for the Children of Israel, the people close to Him. Halleluyah!
