TO MERIT TO FULFILL THE COMMANDMENT OF GIVING A TITHE APPROPRIATELY AND TO CIRCUMCISE MY CLOSED HEART AND TO GET OUT OF THE TRAIT OF STINGINESS
āAnd all that you give me I will give a tenth to youā (Vayetzei)
Master of the world, grant me the merit to fulfill the commandment: āI will give a tenth to you,ā
āAnd anyone who gives a tenth becomes rich.ā
And I should merit to increase infinitely in charity to no measure, and I should merit to circumcise my clogged heart and to get out of the trait of stinginess and to scatter charity until more than enough, as it says:
āScattering he gave to the poor, his righteousness stands foreverā.
