Prayers to merit to Hitbodedut by Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a.

As is known, a central teaching of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov is the importance of the daily practice of hitbodedut, secluding oneself in prayer and meditation with the Creator. Therefore, we bring before you a series of prayers written by Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit"a to merit to this exalted practice:

Ribbono Shel Olam – Master of the World, Who can do everything, let me merit to do an hour of hidbodedut and to go to the mikveh every single day, and not to miss a single day without an hour of hidbodedut.

Please, Merciful and Gracious One, let me merit to do hitbodedut before You every single day for a full hour, without interruption, and to truly long and yearn for You, and to think about You all twenty-four hours, and that the Name Havaya shall not depart from before my eyes for even a single second. May I merit to pray for Jerusalem, the Holy City, and for its residents, that no harm and no stumbling block should befall them, as it says, “For the sake of Tzion, I will not be still, and for the sake of Jerusalem, I will not be silent until its righteousness will emerge like a glowing light and its salvation like a burning flame,” until I merit to see You face-to-face, as it says, “You have been shown in order to know, that Hashem, He is the God, there is none beside [Him].”

Ribbono Shel Olam - Master of the World, Who can do everything, from Whom no plan is withheld, let me merit to do hitbodedut before You every day for an hour, amidst tremendous joy, sublime fervor, and complete faith, because “the Shechinah (Divine Presence) only dwells amidst joy,” and through this fulfill in me the prayer, “Who set our soul in life, and did not allow our foot to falter,” and in the merit of this, fulfill in us the prayer of Chanukah in “Modim”: “You delivered the mighty into the hands of the the weak, the many into the hands of the few.”

ה רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם כֹּל יָכוֹל, זַכֵּנִי בְּכָל יוֹם וָיוֹם לַעֲשׂוֹת שָׁעָה הִתְבּוֹדְדוּת וּמִקְוֶה, וְלֹא אַפְסִיד שׁוּם יוֹם לְלֹא שָׁעָה הִתְבּוֹדְדוּת.

ז רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם כֹּל יָכוֹל אֲשֶׁר לֹא יִבָּצֵר מִמְּךָ מְזִימָה, זַכֵּנִי לְהִתְבּוֹדֵד לְפָנֶיךָ כָּל יוֹם שָׁעָה, מִתּוֹךְ שִׂמְחָה עֲצוּמָה וְהִתְלַהֲבוּת עִלָּאִית, וּבֶאֱמוּנָה שְׁלֵמָה, כִּי 'אֵין 61 שְׁכִינָה 385 שׁוֹרָה 511 אֶלָּא 31 מִתּוֹךְ 466 שִׂמְחָה' 353 = 1808, וְעַל יְדֵי זֶה תְּקַיֵּם בִּי אֶת הַתְּפִלָּה 'הַ־שָּׂם 340 נַפְשֵׁנוּ 486 בַּחַיִּים 70 וְלֹא 37 נָתַן 500 לַמּוֹט 85 רַגְלֵנוּ' 289 ﬩ 1 = 1808, וּבִזְכוּת זֶה תִּתְקַיֵּם בָּנוּ הַתְּפִלָּה שֶׁל חֲנוּכָּה בְּמוֹדִים 'מָסַרְתָּ 700 גִּבּוֹרִים 261 בְּיַד 16 חַלָּשִׁים 388 וְרַבִּים 258 בְּיַד 16 מְעַטִּים' 169 = 1808.
