Prayer for the Molad (New Moon) of the Month of Av from our teacher, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a
Master of the Universe, Who is All-Capable, "Open for us a gate at the time of the closing of the gate" (a quote from the Ne'ilah prayer), and may the Molad (birth of the new moon) of Rosh Chodesh (the New Month) of Av 5781 (this year) which will be on Friday night at 22:44.
Please Hashem, Who is One, "Open for us a gate at the time of the closing of the gate," and open for us at this hour all the gates of the heavens, as it is said, "The skies shall drip righteousness," "For Your dew is like the dew of lights, and the earth shall cast out the departed."
Please Hashem, at this hour on Friday night at 22:44, when all the gates of the heavens are opened, and all the gates of the sky are open, and all the 50 Gates of Binah (Understanding) are open—everything that will happen in this month is already included in the Molad. For on Tisha B'Av (the 9th of Av), the Beis HaMikdash (Holy Temple) of fire must descend.
Please Hashem, all of Tisha B'Av is a preparation for the fifteenth of Av (Tu B'Av), for then the daughters of Israel go out in dances from 6:00 in the morning until 8:00 in the evening until the stars come out, in borrowed white garments. The king's daughter borrows from the daughter of the Kohen Gadol (High Priest), and the daughter of the Kohen Gadol from the daughter of the deputy, and so on. Everyone goes out in borrowed white garments, for then the verse is fulfilled: "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
Therefore, everyone goes out in white clothes but they are borrowed, and it is forbidden for anyone to come with her own garment, because our entire lives are borrowed upon the earth, and nothing is truly ours. Therefore, for every single thing and every single detail, it is our obligation to go out in dances without end.

Master of the Universe, Who is All-Capable, the Molad (new moon) of Rosh Chodesh Av 5781 (this year) will be on Friday night at 22:44, the secret of David HaMelech (King David), peace be upon him. For in the month of Av, the Beis HaMikdash (Holy Temple) was destroyed, and the 370 (Sh"a) myriad lights that shone in the Temple disappeared, and the 405 (T"h) Gevuros (severities) that destroyed the Temple grew strong.
And now on 'Shabbos Nachamu' (the Sabbath of Consolation), which corresponds to Manoach, the father of Samson, who by saying "She is right in my eyes," brought about the terrible destruction. For on Shabbos Nachamu, we ascend to the Dikna Kadisha (Holy Beard), the Ancient of all Ancients, the Hidden of all Hidden, the secret of Adam Kadmon (Primordial Man), the secret of 'Amar Neka' (pure wool), from where the soul of Amram originated. If he had not divorced Yocheved, he would have drawn down illumination from the hairs of Adam Kadmon over all of Egypt, and they would not have drowned in the sea, but would have returned in Teshuvah (repentance), and we would have said the full Hallel. But Hashem wanted otherwise, and He wanted Amram to do Teshuvah, but he only did so externally and not internally. Therefore, in Egypt, they did not return in Teshuvah and drowned in the sea. However, Pharaoh himself did an internal and true Teshuvah, and merited to be the king in Nineveh and brought everyone back in Teshuvah.
For then on Tisha B'Av, all the 405 (T"h) Gevuros (severities) are turned into 370 (Sh"a) myriad lights, as it was before the sin. For then the Reisha d'chol Reisha (Head of all Heads) is revealed, the Reisha d'lao Reisha (the Head that is not a Head), the Head of all, through that which is Hidden, Concealed, and Tucked away from all, in the secret of "The hairy crown of him who walks in his guilt," in the secret of "And on the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers," the secret of the Resurrection of the Dead. As it is said, "And Jacob took for himself fresh rods of poplar (Livneh) and hazel (Luz) and chestnut (Armon)." 'Luz' is white (Lavan), and 'Armon' is red (Adom), to connect white—Chesed (Kindness) with red—Gevurah (Severity). For the main work on Tisha B'Av is to draw down the Yesod (Foundation) of Adam Kadmon, which is the aspect of Mordechai, to draw it into the Yesod of Zeir Anpin, and then a great abundance called the Or Ein Sof (Infinite Light) is drawn down.
For on Tisha B'Av, when there is the strengthening of the Gid HaNasheh (sciatic nerve), we merit "the opposite occurred" (V'nahafoch Hu), and 370 (Sh"a) myriad lights from the secret of "And on the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers," from the secret of the 8 'Chivarta' (Whitenesses), from where the soul of Terah originates. The 600 (T"r) myriad drawn from the 8 Chivarta, from where the Keter (Crown) and the Avira Dachya (Pure Atmosphere) are drawn to the Mocha Stima'ah (Hidden Mind) of Arich Anpin. For all the 7 Kings with King Hadar are clarified through the Mocha Stima'ah, the Ancient of Ancients, the Hidden of all Hidden, which shine in the 13 Rectifications of the Beard, which are the 13 Attributes of Mercy.
And then Mashiach ben David (Messiah son of David) will be revealed, who is called "Migdal Eder" (Tower of the Flock). From Migdal Eder, the Gematria (numerical value) of Rachel and Leah, who are revealed through the subduing of the King of Arad, the Gematria of Rachel and Leah, the secret of the Resurrection of the Dead.
And then the verse is fulfilled: "Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls," "Let the earth open and let them bring forth salvation," "Who caused His glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses," "And I will betroth you to Me forever; and I will betroth you to Me in righteousness, and in justice, and in lovingkindness, and in compassion. For Ben Azzai, and Rabbi Abbahu, Rabbi Eliezer, and Rabbi Joshua, Jonathan ben Uzziel, Rabbi Elazar ben Arach and all his colleagues—all of them were surrounded by flaming fire at the time of their study, for they merited the Nekuda Stima'ah Ila'ah (the Higher Hidden Point) from where all the fire originates, which had been turned into the fire of lusts that destroyed the Beis HaMikdash.
For the Molad (new moon) falls in the middle of the Three Weeks, which correspond to the Luz bone, and correspond to the Luz (hazel) tree, the secret of the Resurrection of the Dead. For in the city of Luz, the Angel of Death has no permission to pass, and therefore the Three Weeks correspond to the Luz tree, in the secret of "And behold, in the morning, behold, it was Leah," to where Joseph ascended, in the secret of "And on the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers." Therefore, the tribe of Gad, from whom Elijah the Prophet (remembered for good) emerges, merits the blessing "He tore the arm, even the crown of the head."
For on Tisha B'Av (the 9th of Av), the 370 (Sh"a) myriad lights drawn from the 8 Chivarta return, and all the 405 (T"h) Gevuros (severities) that caused the destruction of the Temple are rectified. For then on Tisha B'Av, the secret of His Essence, may He be blessed, is revealed. For it is necessary to nullify the 100 tears of the mother of Sisera, and the three tears of Esau, in the secret of "And You give them tears to drink in a third measure (Shalish)," and the miracle was that the third tear did not fall but dried on his cheeks. Therefore, the Third Temple (HaBayis HaShalishi) that will be built now at the conclusion of Tisha B'Av will never be destroyed.
For Mashiach is called 'Yinnon', for only he can rectify and flip the inverted 'Nuns', in the secret of "Arise and do not fall again," "Come with me from Lebanon, my bride... look from the top of Amana." For all our attainments until the Resurrection of the Dead are in the secret of "And you shall see My back, but My face shall not be seen," and only Rabbi Akiva merited the attainment of 'Face to Face', by having his flesh combed with iron combs, and he attained the 'Shin' of the Tefillin.
For the secret of the Gid HaNasheh (sciatic nerve), the secret of Tisha B'Av, the secret of Nadav and Avihu, the secret of Phinehas (Pn) corresponds to Nadav (Chs) corresponds to Avihu. For the Gid HaNasheh is without any moisture, and hints at the terrible blemishes of the Bris (Covenant) that caused the destruction of the Temple. For on Tisha B'Av the Temple was destroyed, and it is immediately rebuilt from fire. Like the Arab who said to the Jew: "Sit on the ground and weep, for from the lowing of your cow I see that at this moment the Temple is going up in flames," and after he sat on the ground, he immediately said to him: "Arise, for from the lowing of your cow it appears that Mashiach has been born at this very moment."
For on Tisha B'Av, the 8 Chivarta (Whitenesses) are revealed through the first 8 days of Av, in the secret of 'Amar Neka' (pure wool), the secret of Amram the father of Moses whose soul shines in perfection at the Molad of the month of Av. For the hairs of 'Amar Neka' descend in balance, from Adam Kadmon to the Gulgalta (Skull) of Atika, and from the Gulgalta of Atika to the Gulgalta of Arich Anpin, and from there to Abba and Imma (Father and Mother), and from there to Zeir Anpin. For in the strand of hair that is drawn from the Mocha Stima'ah (Hidden Mind) and spreads into 32 paths, which are the 32 paths of the Work of Creation, the 32 names of 'Elohim', and therefore they are long and smooth, until they reach the inner point of the 'Bride of Moses'.
For the Holy One, Blessed be He, cast two tears into the Great Sea, from which came the destruction of the Temple, for the judgments (Dinim) which are the two tears are 'Sumka' (Red) and 'Tichla' (Blue/Black). 'Tichla' is the strong color, the strong judgment that caused the destruction of the Temple, and only the Techeiles (blue wool) in the Tzitzit and the Techeiles in the priestly garments can sweeten this. "And with this the maiden comes to the King's house" in garments of purple and blue, from which the belt (Avnet) of the Kohen Gadol is made, which raises the Malchus (Kingship) in a straight line of Zeir Anpin, in the secret of "When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the candlestick," for on the 7th of Av, the Menorah of the Temple is completed.
For at Chatzos (midnight), the Holy One, Blessed be He, wanders through 18,000 worlds, and the Tzaddik who is the aspect of "David King of Israel lives and endures" awakens toward the Holy One, Blessed be He, and unites with Him. Therefore, David merited eternal life, for in his life he never missed Chatzos even once. For David with his harp, which would play by itself every midnight, drew all his melodies from the Kinneret, the 'Well of Miriam'. For the Kinneret is the harp (Kinnor) of the Land of Israel which awakens the Geulah (Redemption), in the secret of "Come with me from Lebanon, my bride... look from the top of Amana, from the top of Senir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards."
For the Techeiles (blue) which is in the Sea of Kinneret is the portion of Zebulun, who consumes all and destroys all, and the Kinneret is the secret of David's harp that destroys all the Kliphot (husks/evil forces), in the merit of Joseph the Tzaddik in whom the angel Matat was impregnated. Therefore it is said of him, "And he was a youth (Na'ar)," for regarding the Malchus it is said, "She is clothed in fine linen and purple." Fine linen (Shesh/Six) are the garments of the Kohen Gadol on Yom Kippur, and purple (Argaman) are the five angels that surround the Kohen Gadol: Uriel, Raphael, Gabriel, Michael, Nuriel. Nuriel hovers over all four, in the secret of "And over my head the Shechinah (Divine Presence) of G-d." For there are six steps to the Throne, and four supports, which together are ten, in the secret of the 'Yod' of Sarai, by whose power Joshua conquers the entire Land of Israel and cuts off the Kliphot.
And this is what Balak said, "As the ox licks up the grass of the field," he is Joseph, "His firstling bullock, majesty is his," the angel Matat, the coffin of Joseph that goes before the camp of Israel. For the Sea of Kinneret is comprised of seven rivers, which turn 'Sumka' (red) to 'Tichla' (blue), and through this they destroy all the nations of the world, "And they shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber," "And shall smite the corners of Moab, and break down all the sons of Seth." 'Pe'ah' (Corner) is the Gematria of 'Karkar' (Break down) [86 = 'Elohim' = 300]. For "He stirs up the sea so that its waves roar," in the secret of "Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls," in the secret of the Reisha d'lao Reisha (the Head that is not a Head), in the secret of Tisha B'Av, the Reisha d'lo Ityada (the Unknown Head), the secret of Atika Kadisha (the Holy Ancient One).
