Preparation for Tomorrow: General Mobilization in the Shuvu Banim Community; Thousands of Rabbi Berland's Followers Expected to Arrive Wherever the Rav is Located

In preparation for tomorrow, a general mobilization has been declared in the Shuvu Banim community. Up to 20,000 of Rabbi Berland's followers are expected to arrive at any location where the Rav might be found tomorrow—whether at the Magistrate Court in Rishon LeZion, the Lahav 433 unit in Lod, or near Nitzan Prison—for a rally of support and solidarity with the detained Rav.

The Action Committee began its energetic operations last night, Motzaei Shabbos (Saturday night), organizing the transport of the masses of Chassidim via buses and private vehicles. The Rav's followers are outraged by the conduct of the police investigators and the statements of the prosecution against the Rav, which involved misleading the courts that deliberated on the arrest requests issued regarding him.

Tomorrow at 2:00 PM, the period of the Rav's remand detention—decided upon by the Central District Court in Lod on the eve of Shabbos—is scheduled to end. If the police do not request an extension of his detention, it will be possible to implement the decision of the Magistrate Court in Rishon LeZion from Thursday, according to which the Rav will be sent to house arrest. By this time, the investigation of the Rav, as well as the confrontations (legal face-to-face meetings with accusers)—which were requested by the Rav—are supposed to conclude.

The Rav's followers intend to accompany him tomorrow wherever he goes. If, Heaven forbid, his investigation is not concluded, his followers promise to gather in their multitudes near the offices of the investigative unit in Lod. During Shabbos, hundreds of Chassidim stayed near the gates of the prison where the Rav is detained.

On the night between Thursday and Friday, approximately 20,000 Chassidim gathered for a massive rally in Hebron near the Me'aras HaMachpelah (Cave of the Patriarchs), and now Shuvu Banim is preparing for tomorrow's developments. The Action Committee stated that the Rav's followers will conduct themselves in the spirit of the Rav's words—with moderation, modesty, and responsibility—in light of the magnitude of the hour.
