Public Reception on Erev Sukkot with the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

A photo gallery from the public reception at the home of our teacher, the holy Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days), on Erev Sukkot (the eve of the Sukkot holiday) 5780.

The public reception began at 3:00 PM, just before the Sukkot holiday became sanctified.

The Mincha (afternoon) prayers of the eve of the holiday, as well as the Maariv (evening) prayer of the Sukkot holiday, were led by our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, amidst a large multitude in the central Sukkah on HaChoma HaShlishit Street. Worshipers from across the country arrived at the Sukkah to participate with the Tzaddik in the joy of the holiday and to merit 'greeting their teacher' (Hachbalat Pnei Rabo).

The Shacharit (morning) prayer and the first waving of the Lulav (palm branch) with the Shehecheyanu blessing (blessing for new occasions) were performed by the Rav shlit"a in the prayer hall. The Tzaddik entered the hall around 6:00 AM for the holiday prayer with great spiritual awakening and holy joy. Our teacher, the Rav shlit"a, conducted the Hallel (prayer of praise) together with the Four Species around eight o'clock.
