Rabbi Yoram Abergel shlit"a

Rabbi Yoram Abergel shlit"a
(From Knishta Chada Newsletter, Issue #42)
Y.B.A. from the city of Elad related: "About two years ago, I met a friend of mine who told me that he had attended a class given by Rabbi Yoram Abergel on Motzaei Shabbat (Saturday night). After the class, he presented Rabbi Yoram with the book Tefilah L'Ani by Rabbi Berland. Rabbi Abergel said to him, 'One needs merit to be worthy of such a book. You should know that your Rav is not just an ordinary rabbi. There are many tzaddikim, but only one tzaddik can rule over all 24 heavenly courts, and your Rav is the only one who rules over all 24 heavenly courts.'" We have already published in one of the newsletters that this is what the Kabbalist Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri said in his time, when he would send people with pidyonot (redemption money) to The Rav. For Rebbe Nachman says in Likutey Moharan (Lesson 215) that there is only one tzaddik in the generation who knows how to perform a Pidyon Nefesh, because he rules over all the 24 heavenly courts. There is a wonderful allusion in the verse Rebbe Nachman cites there, "And the name of the one was Eliezer" (Exodus 18:4). In the well-known meeting between The Rav shlit"a and Maran Rabbi Ovadia Yosef zt"l, which is documented on video, Maran gave The Rav his book as a gift and wrote a dedication and blessing inside. When he said The Rav's name, he recited, "And the name of the one was Eliezer." Just as Rabbi Kaduri and Rabbi Abergel said about him, that he is the tzaddik of the generation who can perform a Pidyon Nefesh. Further on, we will see several more stories of miracles regarding pidyonot performed by The Rav from the last month. More regarding Rabbi Yoram Abergel: A woman called the Knishta Chada editorial office and related that her husband once taught her what the Arizal said (Sefer HaLikutim, Parashat V'Zot HaBerachah, Chapter 8; Pri Etz Chaim, Shaar Rosh Chodesh, Chapter 3): that whoever does not draw close to the True Tzaddik of that generation returns in a reincarnation, even if he himself is a tzaddik. Similar to this is brought in Likutey Halachot (Laws of Ona'ah, Halachah 5). For some time, this matter bothered him greatly: How could such a thing be, that everyone would return in a reincarnation? And how can one know who the True Tzaddik of the generation is? etc. Once, at his sister's wedding, Rabbi Yoram Abergel arrived, and that avreich (young married Torah student) approached him to receive a blessing. Rabbi Yoram asked him, "Where do you study?" He replied, "Yeshivat Shuvu Banim in Jerusalem." Rabbi Abergel answered him, "You merit studying with the True Tzaddik of the generation—and ask for a blessing for me as well." He immediately understood that a message was being sent to him from Heaven. Even without asking the question, he received the answer to his query—that the Tzaddik of the generation was right next to him. Rabbi Abergel showed him that all the tzaddikim, whether in concealment or openly, are truly close to the True Tzaddik of the generation. Rabbi D.K., one of the Kabbalists of the generation, said that he only met Rabbi Berland once in his life, but not a day goes by that he does not speak with him, and he is very close to him. It turns out that even when it appears in the eyes of the world that the tzaddikim are distant from one another, in truth, they are very close.
