Rebbe Nachman Said that the Geulah (Redemption) Will Come Only Through the Girls • The Daily Lesson from the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The full daily lesson from our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, from the night of the 28th of Shevat 5784, Parshas Mishpatim:

"'If you surely take your neighbor's garment (shalmah) as a pledge'—if the dress (simlah) is not long enough, then every day a hundred soldiers are killed, every day ten soldiers are killed, ten are wounded. Everyone needs to break their Xiaomi (smartphone); every girl should break her Xiaomi, every boy should break his Xiaomi, and then there will be a pillar of fire (amuda d'nura) over them. [Like Deborah] the wife of Lappidot, who was surrounded by torches (lappidim). Deborah the Prophetess was surrounded by torches of fire; every day she would prophesy, and all the girls were prophetesses—six hundred thousand prophetesses. In every generation, throughout the entire First Temple period, eight hundred and fifty years. And during the time of Shiloh, the time of the Mishkan (Tabernacle), everyone was a prophetess; all the girls were prophetesses—they saw from one end of the world to the other.

Just like Serach the daughter of Asher, who knew through prophecy that Joseph was alive. For whoever revealed [to Jacob] that Joseph was alive was [supposed to] die on the spot. Because [Jacob would have said to him:] 'For twenty-two years you didn't tell me? How could you watch the grandfather sitting on the ground and crying for twenty-two years and not reveal it?' So Serach the daughter of Asher said: 'Even if I die, I don't care.' The Ba'al HaTurim asks how she knew—from where did she know he was alive? So they said that Asher revealed it to her, Asher revealed it to her. But he was under a ban (cherem). 'And of Asher he said: Blessed be Asher above sons' (Deuteronomy 33:24)—this is the numerical value (gematria) of 'a spirit of wisdom and understanding, a spirit of counsel and might' (Isaiah 11:2).

For if a girl walks with a long dress, if a person breaks the Xiaomi (smartphone), then they merit 'a spirit of wisdom and understanding, a spirit of counsel and might, a spirit of knowledge and the fear of Hashem.' Therefore, Asher merited that all his daughters were always pure; they were never impure. And therefore, the High Priests (Kohanim Gedolim) only took [wives] from the tribe of Asher. And this is what Leah meant when she said, 'In my happiness, for the daughters will call me happy (ishruni)'—because all the daughters of Asher were always pure, always holy. Because the Geulah (Redemption) will come only through the girls, the Geulah... Rebbe Nachman said that the Geulah will come only through the girls who break the Xiaomi and the impure things, smashing them. Then they will bring the Geulah, and in their merit (bizchus), the war will cease quickly in our days, Amen!"
