Shabbat Zemiros Sweeten All Judgments – The Daily Strengthening from Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The Daily Strengthening from our teacher, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Thursday, 15th of Iyar 5784

We say in the Shabbat Zemiros (songs): "In the whiteness of the sapphire (Livnat HaSapir), He showed them the strength of friendship" (from the song: Baruch Hashem Yom Yom).

Every Shabbat we mention the "Livnat HaSapir" (whiteness of the sapphire), and then we sweeten everything.

Through the "Livnat HaSapir," it is possible to sweeten every judgment (Din) in the world, every illness in the world.

When a person sings Shabbat Zemiros (songs), he sweetens every judgment (Din) in the world, every illness in the world.

One must always sit with the children and sing for 4 hours, like Rabbi Avraham Kook who would sing for 4 hours with the children on Friday night and on Shabbat.

The first thing is to sing Shabbat Zemiros (songs), and then the children will not become secular; they won't want to be secular, they won't cut their Peyos (sidelocks), and they will walk with their Peyos.

Singing is the greatest pleasure—a person comes into this world for the sake of song, to sing a song.

Va'etchanan (the prayer of Moses) is the song.
