Shacharit Prayer and Daf Yomi Lesson with Rabbi Berland shlit"a

Today as well (Thursday, 28th of Av), as we do every day, we merited the Shacharit (morning) prayer and a Daf Yomi (daily page of Talmud) lesson with the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.
The Rav entered for the Shacharit prayer at 4:13 AM and delivered a lesson for 18 minutes on the Daf Yomi, page 6 in Tractate Keritot, following the recitation of the "Yehi Ratzon" (May it be Your will) and the Birchos HaShachar (Morning Blessings).
At 4:42 AM, the Rav began "Urah Na" from Tikkun Rachel and Tikkun Leah (parts of the Midnight Lament). This was followed by the Shacharit prayer, the Torah reading, and the recitation of the Tikkun HaKlali (The General Rectification). At the conclusion of the prayer, the Rav shlit"a announced the time for the Molad (the birth of the new moon) which would occur on Friday.
In the talk the Rav delivered after the Shacharit prayer, he explained the "Ten Commandments" and spoke about Yehoshua ben Nun (Joshua the son of Nun). He noted that in most places his name appears without the letter 'Vav', but in the Book of Nehemiah, it appears with the letter 'Vav'. He discussed how Yehoshua did not merit to bring the nation back in teshuvah (repentance).
The Rav also mentioned the concept of "Ekev" (heel/because) — "Ekev (because) you listened to My voice." He explained that a person's entire essence is to be like an 'Ekev' (heel), with his hand grasping 'Esau's heel.' He stated that one should focus on Shmiras Einayim (guarding one's eyes), and through this, all iniquities are forgiven.
