The 10th of Nissan, a Day Prepared for the Geulah (Redemption) of Israel - Important Details Regarding the Release of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a
Many important matters directly connected to the Geulah (Redemption) of Israel occurred on this very significant date – the 10th of Nissan. On this day, a miracle was performed for our forefathers in Egypt when they took the abomination of Egypt before their eyes and the Egyptians did not stone them. On this day, the Children of Israel set aside lambs for the Pesach offering in Egypt. It was a great miracle, because the lamb was the idol of the Egyptians and the Children of Israel were still enslaved there, yet despite this, they fulfilled the commandments of their Creator with strength and might, thereby directly provoking the Egyptians, their enslavers. This event was clearly the beginning of the Geulah (Redemption) of Israel.
On the 10th of Nissan, the important hillula (anniversary of passing) of Miriam the Prophetess, sister of Moshe Rabbeinu (Moses our Teacher), peace be upon him, takes place. This is a day prepared and destined for miracles from time immemorial.
The 10th of Nissan – this is the day that Yehoshua bin Nun (Joshua), about whom it is said, 'The face of Yehoshua is like the moon,' split the Jordan River for the Nation of Israel. Regarding this day, Chazal (our Sages) testified that there were more miracles on it than on the day of the splitting of the Red Sea. This is the day Israel was redeemed from the 40 years of wandering in the desert, when they finally entered Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel)! Our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, said a few days ago that today one should read chapters 3 and 4 in the Book of Joshua, chapters that speak of these miracles.
10th of Nissan, 5561 (1801) – On this day, the Russian Czar signed the release order for the Admor HaZaken, Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi zt"l, author of the Tanya and the Shulchan Aruch HaRav, and with him, all the Chassidim were redeemed. This important event, which greatly influenced the future of Chassidus in particular and the Nation of Israel in general, occurred at the conclusion of the second period of imprisonment of Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, the "Alter Rebbe" of Chabad.
Amidst all this, we are heralded with an event of unparalleled importance for the entire Nation of Israel; anyone who follows the site understands that this event is directly connected to the Geulah (Redemption) of the Nation of Israel. After a period of exile unprecedented in its scope and severity, a period that included sitting for a full year behind bars in various countries and under disgraceful conditions, the Prison Service announces today (Thursday, April 6, 2017, 10th of Nissan 5777), that our teacher, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, will be released from prison today.
Last night, after Rabbi Berland shlit"a collapsed in his cell, he was rushed to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. This follows difficult surgeries that the Rav shlit"a underwent as part of the very great mesiras nefesh (self-sacrifice) for the Geulah (Redemption) of the Nation of Israel. Since the announcement of his release, stormy dances are being held in all Breslov centers in Israel and around the world.
Baruch Hashem (Thank God), the time has arrived, "In Nissan they were redeemed and in Nissan they are destined to be redeemed." With the help of Hashem, blessed be He, this will be a true festival of freedom for tens of thousands of people for whom Rabbi Berland shlit"a is like a father in every respect.
In light of the severe persecution that our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, has undergone, and as we have said a number of times in the past, it has now become clear beyond any doubt that it was worth signing the plea deal with the prosecution and the courts. Today it has also become factually clear that Rabbi Berland shlit"a took the wisest step when he agreed to confess to things he did not do. Because if he had not signed this, the Rav shlit"a would have sat from that moment until the end of the proceedings for much longer than the time he served after the deal.
In the decision of the parole board, it was written, among other things, that the release of the Rav shlit"a will be, for the time being, only to the hotel adjacent to Hadassah Hospital. And that our teacher, the Rav shlit"a, is supposed to bear all the expenses involved in his stay at the hotel and the funding of the security team. Later (in about two weeks), another hearing is supposed to take place in which further alleviations will be granted for our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, until his final release, with the help of Hashem.
"In Nissan they were redeemed and in Nissan they are destined to be redeemed" – The committee's decision was on the 7th day of the 7th month and in the year 777 – these things were told to our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, who responded with a smile.
