Selected segments from the booklet
"Four sons... and one wicked one who asks, 'What is this service to you?'"
"Korach said, 'The entire congregation are all holy!' What? Was the Giving of the Torah in your merit?! Was the Splitting of the Red Sea in your merit? [Rather, he argued,] because 600,000 people went, then the Splitting of the Sea happened. The 600,000 came to Mount Sinai, so Hashem chose one. If everyone chooses me, then Hashem will choose me. Let's hold elections; if they choose me, then they choose me. Until now, they chose you."
"All in all, you are failing to bring us into Eretz Yisrael. You are circling us around in the desert in circles upon circles, journeys upon journeys. Or perhaps you got scared of the giants? You say you received a Bas Kol (Heavenly Voice)? No one believes you received a Bas Kol, no one believes it. Everyone understood that you got some kind of fear. 'Will you gouge out the eyes of these men?' (Numbers 16:14). So you want to gouge out people's eyes [blind them to the truth]? You didn't bring us an inheritance; you want to delay us. What is this circling around with Clouds of Glory? We have already been here a year—soon a year and three months."
"They left on the 15th of Nissan, and now it is already the 15th of Av. It's already been a year and four months. Already Iyar, Sivan, Tammuz, Av. The [incident of the] Spies was already on Tisha B'Av (the 9th of Av). On the 15th of Av immediately after that, so he says, 'What is happening here?' Moses came and said, 'Now stay in the desert for forty years.' Just say that you are afraid to enter the Land, and be done with it. You found an excuse about some thing and that's it. Don't gouge out people's eyes. Why? For the sin of the Golden Calf, Hashem atoned. The Spies merely cried for one night and regretted it, and [said] 'We will go up,' and they said, 'We will go up the mountain, we will go up.' Moses said, 'You will not succeed.' Of course you won't succeed—Moses isn't going and Aaron isn't going, so they won't succeed. Moses and Aaron stayed here. You got scared, you stayed, you let them go alone. Go with Aaron, we will go with angels."
