The Prayers Prayed on Purim are Greater Than the Prayers Prayed on Yom Kippur • A Letter of Encouragement from the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Berland shlit"a Regarding Hisbodedus During the Days of Purim

"On that night, the King's sleep was disturbed" - it is accepted in the name of our holy Rebbe [Rebbe Nachman] zy"a (may his merit protect us) that every single year on the night of Purim, the sleep of the King of the World is "disturbed" (meaning He is awakened to show mercy), and anyone who asks on this day, his prayer is answered, as the saying goes, "Whoever extends a hand, they give to him." In honor of the holiday of Purim, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days) wrote a letter of encouragement to go out to the field for Hisbodedus (secluded prayer), specifically during the days of Purim. Before you is the full letter for reading and downloading:

B"H, For the sake of His Name, For the sake of His Covenant, 25th of Adar I, 5784

A LETTER OF ENCOURAGEMENT TO TRAVEL TO THE FIELD, SPECIFICALLY ON PURIM PRAZIM (Purim of the open cities) AND PURIM MUKAFIN (Purim of the walled cities), MAY HASHEM PROTECT THEM AND GRANT THEM LIFE!!!

It is an obligation upon everyone to go out to the field every single day, just as Moharnat (Rabbi Nosson of Breslov) prays in Likutey Tefillot to go out to the field every single day, to a place of trees, grass, and flowers. Specifically during the holy and awesome days of Purim that are coming upon us for good and for blessing, and as it is written in all the holy books, that the prayers prayed on Purim are greater than the prayers prayed on Yom Kippur. Therefore, everyone without exception must go out to the fields during the days of Purim.

With the blessing of the Torah and with great love,

Eliezer Berland
