"There Has Never Been Anything Like This in Any War!" • The Daily Lesson from the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Before you is the full daily lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, on Sunday night, the 27th of Teves, Parshat Va'era, after the Maariv (evening) prayer:
"Six hours ago, two buses arrived at the Kotel (Western Wall), people without hands, without legs, whose legs were severed. Two hundred people without legs, without hands. And we have hundreds of fatalities and hundreds of wounded. This is all because there are still girls who have not lengthened their skirts and walk with a bit of their leg exposed; this causes the legs of all the soldiers to be severed. There has never been anything like this in any war; not in the War of Liberation, not in the War of Independence, not in the Yom Kippur War, not in Operation Kadesh, not in Operation Protective Edge—there has never been a situation where so many people, soldiers, have their legs cut off. This is only because there are girls who do not lengthen their skirts or who hold a Xiaomi (smartphone). For every Xiaomi held, another hundred soldiers are killed. Whether a boy or a girl, it doesn't matter—whoever holds a Xiaomi and sees things that are forbidden to see, terrible abominations, they will not leave Gehinnom (purgatory) even at the time of Techiyas HaMeisim (the Resurrection of the Dead). Anyone who holds a Xiaomi should know that they will not leave Gehinnom even at the Resurrection of the Dead. And therefore, hands and legs are being severed for soldiers and civilians; every day another ten Jews are killed, another ten Jews, in the Shomron (Samaria), in Gaza, in the North, everywhere. Just now, sixty missiles were fired at Meron—a terrifying fear, a fear of death. This is all because there are women who have not lengthened their skirts or have not thrown away their Xiaomi and their smartphone. And there are boys who haven't thrown them away; everyone must smash their smartphone and their Xiaomi right now, at this very moment smash it to pieces, and then the complete Geulah (Redemption) will come speedily in our days, Amen!"
