To Be Said Before Every Hafrashat Challah

Master of the World, You commanded through Your holy and pure sages to separate one part from forty-eight in order to receive the Divine Mind, the Mind of the Shechinah (Divine Presence). For the Challah is the Shechinah found within the dough. May I merit, at the moment I approach the Mitzvah of Hafrashat Challah (separating the dough), to have the intention to reveal the holy Shechinah that is present within the dough. And may I merit that at the time of separating the Challah, the holy Shechinah will become impregnated within me (a spiritual attachment), just as You made known to us through our holy Rebbe, Rebbe Nachman, in Chayei Moharan, Avodat Hashem 112: In the time of Avraham Avinu, the Shechinah was called Sarah; in the time of Yitzchak Avinu, the Shechinah was called Rivka; and in the time of Yaakov Avinu, the Shechinah was called by the name Rachel and Leah.

Please, Merciful and Gracious One, merit me at the time of separating Challah to see the holy Shechinah face to face, just as Yaakov Avinu merited at the time when it is written in the holy Torah, "And behold, Rachel came with the flock" (Genesis 29:9)—for this was the holy Shechinah coming out to greet him. Please, Merciful and Gracious One, merit me to be the essence of the holy Shechinah, to pray before You day and night, and to complete Your holy and awesome Names:

יוּ"ד קֵ"י וָי"ו קֵ"י = Av 72

יוּ"ד קֵ"י וָא"ו קֵ"י = Sag 63

יוּ"ד קֵ"א וָא"ו קֵ"א = Mah 45

יוּ"ד קֵ"ה וָ"ו קֵ"ה = Ban 52

Please, Merciful and Gracious One, Omnipotent One from Whom no plan is withheld, in the merit of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, the holy and awesome Tzaddik who revealed the awesome secret of "And behold, Rachel came with the flock"—the secret of the holy Shechinah—merit me in his merit to be like Rachel Imeinu (our Matriarch). May I not cease crying over the Churban (Destruction of the Temple) day and night until I merit, through the power of my holy tears, to bring the Geulah (Redemption) to the Nation of Israel.

Please, Merciful and Gracious One, Omnipotent One, Mighty over all the mighty, merit me to complete all the holy Miluim (full letter spellings) of all the holy Names:

יוּ"ד קֵ"י וָי"ו קֵ"י whose filling is Mem-Vav = 46

יוּ"ד קֵ"י וָא"ו קֵ"י whose filling is Lamed-Zayin = 37

יוּ"ד קֵ"א וָא"ו קֵ"א whose filling is Yud-Tet = 19

                          Kav 102

Please, Merciful and Gracious One, may I merit at the time of separating Challah to complete my soul in ultimate perfection. May my soul be filled with all three of these fillings—46, 37, 19—at the time of separating Challah. I will primarily focus on the holy filling of 19, which is the Gematria (numerical value) of Chava (Eve). The filling of the Name Mah is the Gematria of Adam. Through this, may I merit to rectify completely the part of my soul that was rooted in the soul of Chava, and may I merit at the time of separating Challah to ascend to the level of Chava Imeinu before the sin, who shone from one end of the world to the other.
