Just moments before tens of thousands of the Jewish people ascend to the massive gathering in the North, our master, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, turned to prepare hearts at the magnificent Elad gathering. After five full years in which Rabbi Berland shlit"a did not visit Meron, the holy Tzaddik will ascend on the 7th of Adar together with tens of thousands of the Jewish people to the site of the "Holy Lamp" (the burial place of the holy Tanna), Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai. Over the years, the Rav shlit"a has spoken extensively about the importance of this holy day, and now he specifically requested to hold a large gathering in the North in honor of the holy Hillula (anniversary of passing) of the "Faithful Shepherd," Moshe Rabbeinu (Moses our Teacher), peace be upon him.
On a very rainy day, multitudes left their homes and arrived to greet the Tzaddik who came to the city. On the holy Motzaei Shabbos (the night following the Sabbath) of Parshas Terumah 5778, our master, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, ascended to the city of Elad and gathered around him multitudes who came for the great Torah gathering. Everyone is waiting for the day of the 7th of Adar, when the Rav shlit"a will ascend to the North, and in the meantime, we merited further holy moments with the Tzaddik.
