The Molad (New Moon) of Tevet 5777, which occurs on Wednesday night at 4:31 and 7 parts, from the mouth of the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a
In the month of Tevet, all transgressions and sins are whitened for anyone who returns in complete teshuvah (repentance). This is why snow falls, as it is written, "If your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow." At the Molad of the month of Tevet at 4:31 and 7 parts, lies the secret of Nikras HaTzur (the cleft of the rock), the secret of 5777 = 777. 7X7X7 = 343, which is the secret of the Shamag (343) lights, as in the verse "since (Beshegam) he is flesh," which Moshe merited in the cleft of the rock. This is the secret of "Behold, there is a place with Me (Itti)." Tevet = 411, the secret of "With me (Itti) from Lebanon, my bride, with me from Lebanon you shall come." In the month of Tevet, when the snow falls, they found Hillel covered by three cubits of snow—the measurement of a mikveh (ritual bath) is three cubits by one cubit—because in the month of Tevet, starting from the Molad, all sins are whitened. "If your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow," for anyone who returns in true teshuvah (repentance), until the Knower of Secrets (Hashem) can testify about him that he will never again return to his folly, to all the evil thoughts and forbidden sights. For from the moment of the Molad of Tevet, Esther—the Knesses Yisrael (Assembly of Israel)—enters the house of Ahasuerus, He who "tells the end from the beginning," and everything is whitened then. Esther sent a shedah (female spirit) in her place, for Ahasuerus never actually touched her, and Darius the son of Esther was born from that shedah. All the nations are uncircumcised of heart, children of demons and spirits, and they are the damaging forces in every generation. Haman suckled from the edge of the "ear lights" and heard the decree to kill, destroy, and annihilate, but he did not hear the cancellation of the decree through "fasting, weeping, and mourning; sackcloth and ashes were spread for the many." In the distant places on the high mountains, the second messengers arrived, those who went out "urgent and hurried by the king's command," even before the first messengers with the decree, who only went out "urgent" but it does not say "hurried." A racing horse in the days of Ahasuerus could travel 200 kilometers per hour, and from Shushan to Britain is 4800 kilometers by land, a matter of 48 hours. Therefore, there are 48 (M"ach) cities of refuge to cancel every decree, and 48 planks in the Mishkan (Tabernacle) to turn sheker (falsehood) into a kesher (connection). Therefore, only through a sharp, deep, and understanding moach (intellect) are all sins whitened. Our Rebbe (Rebbe Nachman) reveals to us that it is impossible to fight against p'gam habris (sexual impurity) and evil thoughts except through a sharp moach (intellect) in Torah (Lesson 101 and 62). Just as it is a great mitzvah to be in a state of constant joy, it is a great mitzvah to sharpen the intellect. It is impossible to sharpen the intellect except through the study of Ketzos HaChoshen, Nesivos HaMishpat, and Tokpo Kohen. Even if a person builds palaces and castles on the property of a convert, he has not acquired it until he performs 'locking' (na'al) and 'hoeing' (adar). 'Locking' refers to the locking of the eyes, in the secret of "Judges and officers you shall place in all your gates"—these are the gates of the head. 'Hoeing' refers to the secret of hoeing the heart, plowing the heart, and purifying the heart from all the desires and temptations of the world, so that only "my soul thirsts for G-d, for the living G-d."
For the month of Tevet is the tenth month, in which one hears at every moment and second the Ten Commandments, which are drawn from the ten types of neginah (melody). Through melody, one merits to ascend to the Chamber of Repentance (Heichal HaTeshuvah), as Rebbe Nachman explains in Torah 172, that one must pass through the entire stature of joy to merit true and complete teshuvah (repentance). This is only possible at a wedding, when the joy spreads from head to heel. Sometimes joy is only in the head, in the secret of "and eternal joy upon their heads," and sometimes only in the heart, in the aspect of "You put joy in my heart." We need the joy to spread through all 248 limbs and 365 sinews from head to heel, in the aspect of "And it shall be (V'hayah) if you listen (ekev)," where V'hayah is a term of joy, the letters of Havayah (Hashem's name). Only through joy does one merit the revelation of the letters of Havayah, which is the secret of the covenant with the Leviathan, "as the space of a man and his borders (loiyos)." This is merited in the month of Tevet. "You are the Leviathan," which is said about Moshe and the Tzaddik [Ki Teitzei 296], in the secret of the 'Leviathan serpent' and the 'slanting serpent,' in the aspect of circles (igulim), and "Leviathan the straight serpent" in the aspect of straightness (yosher). The first Tablets were in the aspect of straightness, and the last Tablets were in the aspect of circles. This is what Chanina ben Agil asked Rabbi Hiyya bar Abba: whether there was 'good' in the first Tablets or not. In the month of Kislev, which is the ninth month, the secret of the letter Tet was revealed, which is in charge of the Luz bone where there is eternal life. Sennacherib came and did not confuse it, and Nebuchadnezzar came and did not destroy it. Whoever merits to pass through the month of Kislev in perfection will merit to live all 120 years, even unto infinity like Serach bat Asher. The Mishneh LaMelech (Gittin 8:11) says that if a man says to his wife, "This is your divorce on condition that you never drink wine," she is not divorced (because it's impossible to know 'never'), but if he says "on condition that you do not drink wine for 1000 years," she is divorced, because perhaps she will merit to live 1000 years like Serach bat Asher, who sacrificed her whole life to bring the news to her grandfather (Jacob) that Joseph is still alive and is king in Egypt, and has two sons, Menashe and Ephraim. Ephraim was in the aspect of Mashiach ben Yosef, and Menashe in the aspect of Mashiach ben David, on the condition that a person 'forgets' (Menashe) his status and his toil (97). Then the prayer "The sprout of David Your servant, quickly cause to sprout (Tatzmiach)" will be accepted. This is the secret of Nachman (148) - Tav (400), for only Rebbe Nachman could illuminate until the letter Tav, in the secret of "Before the sun, his name is Yinnon." Whoever merits to raise the two inverted Nuns of "And it came to pass when the Ark traveled," about him it is said, "This one will comfort us (Yenachamenu)," and he will merit that in his name the two Nuns will appear. He is the one who will merit the revelation of the Nun (50) Gates of Understanding, which Moshe requested on the 1st of Adar, in the secret of "And I implored (Va'eschanan)," "Let me cross over, I pray, and see the good mountain and the Lebanon," in the secret of the Nun (50) Gates of Understanding and the L"B (32) Paths of Wisdom. Hashem said to him, "Enough for you (Rav lach)"—this I will only reveal to the one in whose name there are two Nuns, in the secret of Moach N"N (Nachman), and only to him will I reveal the 50 Gates of Understanding and the 32 Paths of Wisdom. This is the moment of the Molad of the tenth month at 4:31 and 7 parts, the secret of the unification of Havayah and Ekyeh. In the month of Elul, the name Ekyeh shines, and in Tishrei, the name Havayah shines, in the secret of the King. In Cheshvan, the month of scorpions, Rehoboam said, "My father disciplined you with whips, but I will discipline you with scorpions," in the secret of "Hashem of Hosts is His name." He wanted to do like Hezekiah, who drove a sword into the entrance of the House of Study, in the aspect of straightness, but he did not yet know the secret of the circles, which is the secret of the month of Kislev, when we light torches and flames. Fire is in the aspect of circles, earth is in the aspect of a square, and wind is in the aspect of straightness. Only through dancing and circles does one merit the flaming fire.
For the month of Tevet is the secret of the Leviathan, about which Hashem says to Job: "Will he make many supplications to you? Will he speak soft words to you? Will he make a covenant with you? Will you take him as a servant forever? Will you play with him as with a bird? Or will you bind him for your maidens?" (Job 40:27-28). For he spoke to you in supplications—about this Hashem asks Moshe Rabbeinu on the 7th of Adar if he knows how to speak in supplications like the Leviathan, and therefore Hashem made a covenant with him. "And with me You do not make a covenant?" Hashem said to him, "You too, if you know how to speak in supplications like the Leviathan," in the secret of "A man went from the house of Levi and took a daughter of Levi," for the Levi is the secret of the Leviathan, the secret of Yocheved who knows how to speak in supplications like the Leviathan, until she merited Moshe. When she was 250 years old, Moshe was taken from her [Ramban 46:15] and she could not be comforted. For there is no comfort for the histalkus (passing away) of the tzaddik who passes away in the month of Tevet. Then we finish Parshat Vayechi and cry out 'Chazak Chazak V'nischazek' (Be strong, be strong, and let us be strengthened), which has the gematria of Moshe Yosef Tav, for Moshe and Joseph are impregnated until the letter Tav. Amram is in the secret of the hair of "Pure Wool" (Amar N'ke) of Adam Kadmon, and from there the soul of Moshe and all of Israel was drawn. Miriam continued this in the secret of "And they kept the children alive," and angels waited for the mothers on the banks of the Nile to receive the babies from their hands [Tanna D'vei Eliyahu 7]. For any woman who did not have time to run to the field and gave birth at home at night, they had to go with sixty cradles, and for every child, an angel waited to nurse him "honey from the rock and oil from the flinty rock." Therefore, Yitzchak Rivka = Va'eschanan = Tefillah (Prayer) = Shirah (Song). For the month of Shevat is the month in which the Song of the Sea (Shirat HaYam) is revealed, "The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea," which is the Ox of the Sitra Achra that the children of Israel saw falling into the sea. Therefore, the Erev Rav (Mixed Multitude) drew the image of an ox during Moshe's absence and told Israel that this was the Ox in the Chariot. He (Hashem) cried out "I am Hashem your G-d" and "You shall have no other," but the women did not believe it, until their nose rings and earrings were torn off with their ears. Therefore, they received the Rosh Chodesh (New Moon) festivals as a gift; it is a holiday for them, and they are forbidden from doing certain types of work. During the time of the Holy Temple, the Chida writes in 'Yosef Ometz' that it was like Chol HaMoed (intermediate festival days) for the women, because they did not listen to the Calf nor to the Spies. For the Tenth of Tevet is the day when the Temple of Fire is supposed to descend every single year, especially in 5777 (777), which is the secret of 7X7X7, "And the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of the seven days," the secret of "I saw a menorah all of gold... and its seven lamps upon it, seven and seven pipes to the lamps which are upon its head." Therefore, Samson, who was the soul of Adam HaRishon, "set fire to the torches," for his entire being—all 248 limbs and 365 sinews—were torches of fire. Torch (Lapid) X 2 = 248 (Ramach), 248 X 2 = Leviathan = 496.
Therefore, in the month of Tevet, when the fire of Nebuchadnezzar broke out, surrounding Jerusalem with his fire on the Tenth of Tevet, specifically then the Temple of Fire was supposed to descend. Thus it is written "on this very day," for it was the special day for the Temple of Fire to descend, in the aspect of "The place for Your dwelling which You, Hashem, have made; the Sanctuary, Hashem, which Your hands have established." 'Machon' (Place) refers to the Temple of Fire [Pinhas 220], and 'Mikdash' (Sanctuary) refers to the Temple of stone. The Steipler asks in Kehillos Yaakov: how is it permitted to offer sacrifices in a house that descends from heaven? This would be like Sukkah shade (sechach) that falls from heaven, which is invalid.
This is the secret of 'Agamla deNarash' (the camels of Narash), the secret of the Keter (Crown) = 625 (Bava Metzia 93b), for specifically when one ascended to the Sefirah of Keter without preparation, the animals fell into the river. For our Rebbe is the river that purifies from all stains, and even if one fell from the bridge, the Rebbe raises him up. After falling from the bridges over the river, he has nothing more to fear from falls, and now the Knower of Secrets can testify about him that he will ascend higher and higher, if he returns in true teshuvah (repentance). He will only ascend and turn into torches of fire: Lapid X 2 = 248 X 2 = Leviathan 496. Then "the tongue of the mute shall sing (Taron - 656)," the secret of 'Heard (Shama - 410) the voice (Kol - 130) of the Lion (Aryeh - 216)' = 656. He merits to hear the voice of the Lion in the Chariot. This is why a lion bit Noah, as brought in 'Zer Zahav,' because he damaged the Lion in the Chariot and did not merit to hear the song of the Lion. This is the secret of 'to greet (174) with shepherds (328) and with staffs' = 584 = 1086, the secret of 'Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, Leah' the 4 Mothers. It is the secret of a veteran student (Talmid Vatik - 484 + 516) of our Rebbe, who is nullified in the secret of G-d (Elohim - 86) = 1086, the secret of 'in Gemara (246), Shas (360), Talmud (484)' = 1086. Therefore, specifically Rav Pappa [= Cain + 1] was the one who ruled on the animal falling into the river of Narash and how to raise it. Thus it is said of the Leviathan, "He is king over all the children of pride (shachatz)," for only the Leviathan, who is the Tzaddik, can rectify all the children of pride. For "after him a path shines, one would think the deep to be hoary (seivah)," for only after 70 years (seivah) does the deep return to its strength [Bava Batra 75a]. It takes a person 70 years to be included in the Leviathan-Tzaddik, and the moment of the Molad is auspicious for this. Therefore, Bar Adda Savula'a gematria X 2 = Kodkod (crown of the head), for he merited the "crown of the head of the Nazirite of his brothers." Only he can lead the animals over the bridge of the river and raise them through Rav Pappa, who is the rectification of Cain.
Therefore, 4 Nuns have the gematria of Mashiach (358) son of (Ben - 52) David (24) = 424 (= Nun 108 X 4). These are the 4 Nuns of Rebbe Nachman and Reb Noson, whose yahrtzeit (anniversary of passing) is the Tenth of Tevet, the secret of "on this very day." The 'Ya'aras Devash' explains in his discourse on the month of Tevet that on the Tenth of Tevet, the seven days of mourning for Abel ended, who was killed on Zos Chanukah 50 days after his birth. This is the secret of "This one will comfort us from our grief and from the work of our hands," for only through the two Tzaddikim who each have two Nuns—which together are four Nuns = 424—is Mashiach (358) son of (52) David (24) = 424 revealed, and then the Temple of Fire will descend. For King Solomon (Shlomo) = 470 = Sanctuary (Mikdash - 444) of Hashem (26) = 470. For Shlomo has the same letters as L'Moshe (For Moshe), in the secret of "A Mizmor, a Shir L'yom Hashabbat," the first letters of which are L'Moshe = Shlomo, for "You are the Shabbat of all days." The month of Tevet = 411, the secret of 'Nikras HaTzur' "Behold, there is a place with Me (Itti - 411)" [Karneiyim 6]. In discourse 12, he explained 'Dan shall judge' (Dan Yadin), that Jacob was supposed to live 210 years, the number of "Go down (Redu - 210) there," but because he said "Few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, and they have not attained the days of the years of the lives of my fathers," 63 years were deducted from him, the number of Sa"g (63). Through this, he damaged the name Sa"g, the gematria of Hannah, who gave birth to Samuel at age 130 and "her face was no longer the same," for she rectified the sin of the fig (te'enah). This is the secret of Joseph's cup (Gavia) and his sons = 936, the secret of 'sustenance (165) of 330 figs (561) = 936 with two sisters,' who are Rachel and Leah, and Serach bat Asher [Likkutei Levi Yitzchak Kiddushin], along with Hannah who rectified the sin of the fig. She was equal to them all and prophesied about Chanukah and Purim. This is what the Zohar (Vayikra 19b) says: 'The Prayer of Hannah' and 'The Song of Deborah'—no man in the world ever merited to say such a song. For Song (Shirah) = 515, Va'eschanan = 515, Prayer (Tefillah) = 515, "And you shall be strong (V'chazakta - 515) and be a man." For after 'Tevet' comes 'Shevat,' in the secret of "And you shall be strong and be a man (Ish - 311)" = 'Shevat.' This is merited in Shevat, when Moshe began to explain the Torah anew. The Chiddushei HaRim says that on the 1st of Shevat, entirely new secrets were revealed to him that had never been revealed before, in the merit of passing through the month of Tevet—the tenth month—in perfection. Then he wanted to let the children of Israel hear the Ten Commandments anew with voices, lightning, fire, and torches. All of this was supposed to happen exactly on the 1st of Shevat, immediately upon the conclusion of the month of Tevet. For the entire month of Tevet, and specifically the Tenth of Tevet, is a preparation to hear the Ten Commandments anew with voices, lightning, fire, and torches, the likes of which have not been since the beginning of the world, not even on the 6th of Sivan in the year they left Egypt—until the total nullification of all desires. One merits to be included in the month of Tevet in all the Seven Beggars: the blind, the deaf, the stutterer, the one with the crooked neck, the hunchback, the one without hands, and the one without feet. This was merited by Reb Noson, who merited the two Nuns and ascended to his place on the Tenth of Tevet. About this it is said [Karneiyim 6] that anyone who passes away in Tevet merits to enter Gan Eden (Paradise) without any judgment, in the aspect of "You shall be buried (Tikaver) in a good (Tovah) old age (Besheivah)"—the first letters of which form TEVET.
Then one can merit at the Molad 4:31 and 7 parts, the secret of the 4 Mothers and Kel (31), in the secret of "Who is a G-d (Kel) in heaven and on earth who can do like Your works and Your mighty deeds." The Megaleh Amukos says "Kel in heaven and on earth" is the secret of the 31 (L"A) kings who came to the Bris (circumcision) of Isaac and lived 440 years until Joshua (Yehoshua) entered the Land of Israel. He merited 370 (Sh"a) myriad lights in the secret of Y-K-V. If he had also merited the final H, the Temple of Fire would have descended immediately upon his entry into the Land, and they would have merited the Resurrection of the Dead. This is the secret of what Eldad and Medad said: "Moshe dies, Joshua brings them in." The Megaleh Amukos (Discourse 226, Ten Utterances) says that as soon as Joshua enters, Moshe would die for 5 minutes and then there would be the Resurrection of the Dead, for even Moshe must depart from the world before the Resurrection. Then he would receive a body that shines entirely with 370 myriad lights, like Eve before the sin. All of this is merited at the Molad of the month of Tevet, when Esther entered the house of Ahasuerus. Even though she was greenish, she merited the precious light in the secret of 370 (Sh"a) lights. Therefore, the holy Ari says to meditate on "Who (She'asah - starting with Sh"a) performed miracles for our fathers," for then we receive the 370 myriad lights that were taken from Eve. We receive them during the blessing over the Chanukah candles and over the Megillat Esther. That is why it is called Megillat (the revelation of) Esther, for then the entire Knesses Yisrael (Assembly of Israel) received anew all the 370 myriad lights that were taken from Eve.
For at the moment of the Molad of the month of Tevet [411], the entirety of Israel enters the 'cleft of the rock' (Nikras HaTzur), "Behold, there is a place with Me (Itti - 411)." Then, anyone who immerses in the well of Miriam, who is called Ephrat, of whom it is said "And they kept the children alive," and who merited for 83 years to draw to all the children born through her the spirit of the Resurrection of the Dead from the right nostril (Pardashka)—through this, all the children she gave birth to stood ready at the Giving of the Torah, their filth ceased, and they heard the Ten Commandments, which are heard anew at the Molad of Tevet, which is the tenth month.
The following letter was received along with the letters above; it speaks much about the month of Tevet and apparently was written regarding the Molad of the month of Kislev:
At the moment of the Molad at 3:47 in the afternoon and 6 parts, which corresponds to the two thousandth year 47, the year of the Akedah (Binding of Isaac), when the entire world was included in the World of Akudim, and all of Abraham's generation merited to return in teshuvah (repentance) and enter the life of the World to Come, gentiles and Jews alike. Therefore, at the moment of the Molad, when the heels of Leah enter the Keter (Crown) of Rachel, and into the Keter of Rachel entered the heels of Leah—this is the secret of Tiberias and its surroundings, which sits exactly at the navel of the earth. Through this, "Upon Edom I will cast my shoe," for in Kislev the verse "Upon Edom I will cast my shoe" is fulfilled. "And I will stir up your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece (Yavan)." Then the Tzaddik enters the letters of Yavan, for Yavan are the letters that descend to death, and each letter descends further down, until reaching the letter Nun which descends the furthest into the klippos (husks) and gives them life. But "He swallowed wealth (Chayil) and shall vomit (Vayekienu) it up," the secret of the name Ch-B-V (initials of that phrase) which one must meditate upon during the song 'Ish Chasid Hayah.' Through this, "He swallowed wealth and shall vomit it up," and then in the month of Kislev, the Sitra Achra (the Other Side) must vomit up everything it swallowed from the sin of Adam HaRishon until our day. This is the secret of what Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai said: "I am able to exempt the entire world from judgment." Through this, we are able to return in teshuvah (repentance). "And with Rabbi Eleazar, from the beginning of the world"—from the sin of Adam HaRishon; "and with Jotham ben Uzziah, until the end of the generations," for Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai already atoned until the end of all generations for all those who return in true teshuvah (repentance), until the Knower of Secrets testifies about them that they will no longer return to questioning [Rambam, Laws of Teshuvah 2:2], and they will no longer return to their folly. They will only long with a true fire solely for the service of Hashem day and night without a moment's pause. For one who is half-slave and half-free is exempt, according to the Rambam, from the Paschal sacrifice, unlike the opinion of Rashi and Tosafot who say he is obligated, for his master is obligated to free him and anyone standing to be freed is considered freed. But the Rambam's approach is that he must actually be freed, and therefore until he is freed, he does not eat the Pesach, for by not eating, his master is forced to actually free him. This is the secret that in the month of Kislev the work of the Mishkan (Tabernacle) was finished, and in the month of Cheshvan the Holy Temple was completed. Therefore, Jeroboam was angry: on what basis did Solomon delay the dedication of the Temple until Tishrei, canceling the service of the Temple for eleven months because of some idea that seemed foolish in his eyes? Therefore, Jeroboam took revenge for the month of Cheshvan and moved Sukkot to Cheshvan. Furthermore, the 15th of Cheshvan is exactly fifty days from the creation of the world, when the Fiftieth Gate was fully opened. Therefore, the 'Ya'aras Devash' explains that Cain and Abel offered their sacrifices on the 15th of Cheshvan when the Fiftieth Gate opened, and then Abel attained the Fiftieth Gate. "And Hashem turned to Abel and to his offering," and he died from the intensity of his dveikus (attachment), just as the 'Avodat Yisrael' explains that Sarah died when she heard of the Akedah of Isaac from the intensity of her dveikus. Therefore it is said, "And Isaac was comforted after his mother." The Midrash and Zohar say, "and behold, she is his mother"—Isaac is now 40 years old, and for 140 years he saw Sarah day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment in a tangible way, just as the members of the Rebbe's household merited to see the Rebbe tangibly for three years. So too, when we come to our Rebbe for Rosh Hashanah, it is possible to see the Rebbe tangibly. For on the night of 'Zechor Berit' (the Selichot of the Covenant), the first sealing is already done by two witnesses: our Rebbe and Moharnat (Reb Noson), as the law is brought in Ketzos HaChoshen 97, Avnei Milluim 42:8, and Urim V'Tumim. For in the month of Cheshvan, on the 15th of the month when the Fiftieth Gate opened, we received the Choshen (Breastplate) at Har HaMor (Mount Moriah), and this is the joy of this month: Choshen Mor, Sameach Ron (Rejoice and Sing). Then the month is Merach Cheshvan—the eighth month. About this it is said, "To the conductor, upon the eighth (sheminis), a psalm of David," "Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings You have established strength." For all the souls drawn in the month of Cheshvan are from the Fiftieth Gate. In the month of Tevet, the first letters of "You meet (T'kadmenu) him with (Bi) blessings of good (Tov), You set a crown of fine gold on his head," for then the dove of Noah brings the 'crown of fine gold'—the crown of Mashiach—from Gan Eden. Therefore, anyone born or passing away in Tevet enters directly into the life of the World to Come without any judgment at all, in the secret of 'Nikras HaTzur'—'With me (Itti) from Lebanon,' "With me from Lebanon, my bride," in the secret of Tevet = Itti. Then one merits Shevat = Ish (Man) 311, in the secret of "Hashem is a Man (Ish) of war, Hashem is His name." Then Pharaoh and all his host drowned, and so too they drown completely every Shabbat Shirah anew. All the damaging spirits, demons, and ghosts that a person creates from Shevat to Shevat all drown on Shabbat Shirah in the hole of the great deep during the Song of the Sea. For the final seal is made on Zos Chanukah, and then is the time for all weddings to draw through them the soul of King Mashiach, as it is said [Likkutei Halachot, Shabbat 5, p. 26b]: 'that all weddings are solely to draw down the soul of King Mashiach.' This is the secret of 'my hands are soiled with the blood of the fetus (shafir) and the placenta (shilya)' 46 + 590 + 345 Chuppah (wedding canopy) 99 = 1180, the secret of "I will lift the cup of salvations" 86 + 792 + 302 = 1180. For "Daughters of Israel, weep for Saul, who clothed you in scarlet with finery, who put ornaments of gold on your apparel." Saul only brought up gold ornaments, but David: "That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner pillars, polished after the similitude of a palace." All of David's work was with the fetus and placenta to purify a woman for her husband, to extract the sons and daughters from the blemish of this terrible desire, and through this to draw down the Temple of Fire. Since all of Israel pursued him and always delivered him into the hand of Saul, the entirety of Israel did not merit to cling to David so that he could lift them completely with their bodies to the World of Atzilut, and the Temple of Fire would have descended already in his days or in the days of Solomon. His grandson, the Tzaddik, wanted to rectify all this, and therefore he said that from now on the method will be the method of scorpions, the method of the month of Cheshvan, when the 50th Gate opens. Then on the 15th of it, which is the fiftieth day from the creation of the world, the Temple of Fire was supposed to descend. But then, as the 'Pri Tzaddik' and 'Ya'aras Devash' explain, they stoned Rehoboam with stones, and Jeroboam tried to rectify this by moving the holiday of Sukkot to the 15th of Cheshvan to merit Israel the Fiftieth Gate, but everything turned upside down and he brought them down to the fifty gates of impurity.
