What did the Baba Sali do every night in a small alcove? • A fearsome story from the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a for the day of the Hillula

Today, the 4th of Shevat, is the 41st Hillula (anniversary of passing) of the passing of the Kabbalist, the Tzaddik (righteous one), the worker of salvations and performer of miracles, Sidna Baba Sali - Rabbi Yisrael son of Rabbi Masoud Abuhatzeira zy"a (may his merit protect us), who is buried in the city of Netivot.
Before you is a fearsome excerpt from a lesson in which the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days) tells of the holy service of the Baba Sali every Chatzos (midnight prayer) from first-hand testimony:
A person can bring the King Mashiach (Messiah) every second; every second Mashiach can come! It only depends on the lowliness of the person, on the infinite lowliness that a person possesses. It was through this infinite lowliness that Rabbah bar Rav Huna merited what he did, such that Rava sought his level of humility, but he did not merit it—he did not merit such humility compared to the one who sits in a tub of water. These are the tears of the Jewish people, the tears of all those who were killed in those periods. There was no period when they weren't killing tens of thousands, millions of Jews; not fifty years passed without them killing a few hundred or a thousand Jews. Sometimes it was in Russia, sometimes in Spain, sometimes in Germany, and sometimes in France. And every time it was... there were Tzaddikim (righteous ones) who saw all the tears; they saw from one end of the world to the other. And with these tears, they would perform their Tikkun Chatzos (Midnight Rectification). They would cry before Chatzos. Now, just yesterday, someone told me—he visits there in Netivot at the Baba Sali's place every time, he has a special merit there—he says that he himself treated Simi, the wife of the Baba Sali; he himself did all her dental work. So he told about her, that she told him there is a certain room at the Baba Sali's house, and she doesn't allow anyone to enter this room, and it looks exactly like a small koch (alcove). And in this room, the Baba Sali would sit every night for several hours from Chatzos and cry like a baby—crying, crying, crying! Rivers of tears! Rivers of tears!! Until he literally sat in a pool of tears. She would run to the room as soon as he left to clean it. She had to take several mops, several buckets—she says several buckets... it is impossible to believe...!! This means Tzaddikim, the unique ones of the generations, were able to literally break out in puddles of tears, sitting and crying over the troubles of Israel. Tzaddikim saw all the troubles! They saw all of the Jewish people! All the killings—everything was revealed before them. When a person purifies himself, then everything is revealed before him; he sees all the troubles, all the suffering! He can cry for three days, seeing it all! She would literally fill several buckets, several buckets of tears! How many buckets she had to collect!! People ask, what are Tzaddikim? Do we have any grasp of Tzaddikim!? A grasp of Tzaddikim in our generation!? No grasp at all! No grasp at all!!
