"Whoever Goes to the Kotel Every Day Will Merit Wealth" • The Daily Lesson from the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Before you is a summary of the daily lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a – yesterday after the Maariv (evening) prayer, Sunday night, the 3rd of Adar, Parshas Tetzaveh:
Today is the yahrtzeit (anniversary of passing) of Nachman Vazana, Matityahu Bezanson, and Yitzchak Fisher, who were the greatest Tzaddikim (righteous men); in their merit, the Third Holy Temple will be built. Today, the 3rd of Adar, is the day the Second Temple was built. Everyone should read Daniel Chapter 6, for in the sixth year of Darius, everyone wept because they remembered the First Temple. Whoever goes to the Kotel (Western Wall) every day will merit wealth like no other in the world. Just as we used to go to the Kotel every summer vacation to Jerusalem before the destruction. Therefore, it is written in the previous Haftarah (prophetic reading) that the First Temple was built four hundred and eighty [years after the Exodus]... after that, 410 years of the First Temple and another 70 is 960 and another 210, and then came Rabbi Akiva who wept... and therefore they went to Rabbi Akiva because he expounded on every crown (tag) mounds upon mounds of Halachos (laws) and would expound miracles on everything. Moshe (Moses) did not understand what Rabbi Akiva was saying, and [Rabbi Akiva] said to him, "This is from Moshe Rabbeinu (Moses our teacher)." Everyone should learn with his wife [Tractate] Orlah 4 and 5 regarding Purim. All the girls should say Tehillim (Psalms) and study Daniel and Nehemiah and learn the chapter on the building of the Temple. Moshe was stubborn; he did not want to go [to lead the people], he said to Hashem (God), "Send Rabbi Akiva." Every girl should say the entire Tehillim and say Tikkun Chatzos (Midnight Lamentations) and sleep eight hours. And next Thursday, they should say only Tikkun Leah. And every girl has a million times more intelligence than a boy; the girl gets a hundred on all the tests. She absorbs in five minutes what is learned in three years, like Bruriah who learned all the teachings from one end to the other. The girl can innovate Halachos (laws), because the girl is Chochmah of Ban (a Kabbalistic level of Divine light) and the boy is Binah of Ban. Half of the man puts all the money in gambling; the woman needs to give a "club to the head" of her husband so he doesn't approach the challengers (those who oppose the Tzaddik) and doesn't do foolish things—this is her responsibility so he doesn't die young and she remains a widow. Just as it was in the desert where the women did not protect their husbands. Everyone merits "V'Yakar" (and honor), which is 310 worlds. All the girls should say Tehillim and the boys should learn six pages of Gemara (Talmud).
