A Lesson for our followers (Anshei Shlomeinu) from the city of Modi'in Illit at

On Monday night, the eve of the 3rd of Kislev, Parshas Vayetzei, a lesson was held at the residence of the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, for the young married scholars (avreichim) of the Breslov Chassidim from the city of Modi'in Illit in the Brachfeld neighborhood. He said he wanted the mouth of Moshe—"Mouth to mouth I shall speak with him"—and Hashem said that even if you fast for a billion years, it is impossible to be like Moshe. Therefore, Yosef had the status of a "rodef" (pursuer) because he sentenced them to death. Rachel stole the "teraphim" (idols); Lavan (Laban) had a factory for teraphim by killing firstborns. Lavan caught up to Yaakov at Gilad, a hint to the Me'aras HaMachpelah (Cave of the Patriarchs), where he prayed that Esav (Esau) would also be buried in the cave. Yosef did not meet with Yaakov [privately] until his passing so that he wouldn't ask him how he was kidnapped to Egypt, for then he would know the brothers sold him, and Yaakov would be meticulous (yakpid) with the brothers and they would all die—just as Rachel died because she took the teraphim and Yaakov said, "With whomever it is found, he shall not live," not knowing that Rachel had taken them. Lavan would make teraphim from firstborns; therefore, Esav did not enter Lavan's house because he was a firstborn. But Serach bat Asher said, "Nothing matters to me; I am willing to die as long as the Tzaddik—Yaakov Avinu—is not in pain." They placed Asher under a ban (cherem) for 250 years because they thought he revealed the secret of Yosef's sale to Serach. In truth, she was a prophetess (neviah), and that is how she knew the story.
