“A Person Needs to Nullify Himself to the Tzaddik”

Therefore, the Half-Shekel donation is brought opposite the [number of] men, not opposite the women.  The women don’t need the Half-Shekel donation.  They didn’t worship [idolatry]; they were not seduced by the calf.  They were not seduced by nonsense: that “this is the ox in the Merkava [Divine Chariot], and this [the calf] is an ox here, an ox there.”  And Moshe lives and endures.  They saw Moshe’s bier and Moshe’s funeral -- Moshe walking in heaven with a funeral, with black candles, black angels.
