"In Order for the Geulah (Redemption) to Come, for Mashiach ben David to Arrive

Before you is the full daily lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a – yesterday after the Maariv (evening) prayer, Sunday, Parshas Vayakhel, the night of the 24th of Adar I:

"Today marks eleven months [since the passing of] Sarah Metel, the daughter of Rabbi Avraham Hershler. She was the most righteous woman since the time of the creation of the world. Since the time of the destruction of the Second Temple, there has not been such a righteous and modest woman who always wore long [clothing]. Because now, exactly at the time of candle lighting, three soldiers were killed. And another twenty [were injured], without arms, without legs; a building collapsed on them. This is all because not all the girls lengthened their dresses. Every girl must lengthen her dress—whether she is a girl in a seminary, a girl in Meah Shearim, or a girl who just recently returned in teshuvah (repentance)—it doesn't matter. A skirt, a dress—the Rav is speaking of dresses, which includes all types of clothing. There are ten types of clothing, new clothes every day. Every dress, every skirt, and every garment must be lengthened until the ankle. If not, every day another hundred soldiers are killed, and another hundred soldiers. There is no end to this war; it is impossible to suffer any longer. Everyone wants to flee from here. In order for the Geulah (Redemption) to come, for Mashiach ben David to arrive, Rebbe Nachman said: It only depends on the girls! It only depends on the women. The moment they wear long [clothing], Mashiach ben David can come immediately, and there will be the complete Geulah (Redemption) speedily in our days, Amen!""‏.
