Moving: Thousands at the First Ma’ariv Prayer with Rav Berland shlit"a and the
Torah Lesson — “The Lions Fled”

The first Maariv prayer with the wonderful lesson of our teacher, the holy Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, after his release. Today, 12 Tevet 5782, from the balcony of his holy home, through the mercies of Hashem! A blessed day of Geulah.
B"H, from the pearls of the tzaddik from last night (unfortunately there were many disruptions, this is what we managed to extract with the help of Heaven) after Maariv with the tzaddik, thanks to Hashem:
"The Rebbe wanted us to be like animals roaring in the forest for entire nights; in this world and in the World to Come, you must scream! Like lions, you must scream!"
"We walked among lions; ten such giant lions arrived near Victoria Falls. We started praying Mincha and the lions were roaring and growling! All the soldiers arrived and saw that the lions were attacking us, but we didn't care; at most they would eat us, and suddenly they fled! Because Avraham Avinu jumped into the fire, broke the idols, and entered the fire—he didn't think he would be saved! Haran (his brother who entered after him) thought he would be saved, so he was burned. But he merited Rivka, for Sarah was his daughter and Rivka was his granddaughter, so they all came from Haran."
"The crocodile farm; soon we will visit the crocodile farm, as it is written, 'The great crocodile that crouches in its rivers.' Pharaoh is called the great crocodile. The Zohar says there are ten crocodiles. And that is why it is the Tenth of Tevet, the tenth of the tenth (from Nissan), which is when he subdues the crocodiles."
"On Motzaei Shabbat, everyone is traveling to Hebron, because the 1st of Shevat is truly a Rosh Hashanah. All the Admorim were accustomed to traveling to the graves of tzaddikim on the eve of Rosh Chodesh Shevat. Everyone will recite the entire Tehillim all night long, because we perform all the tikkunim on 29 Tevet, next Motzaei Shabbat—everyone performs all the tikkunim of Rosh Hashanah. After that, we eat fruits; it is written in 'Davar Be'ito' to eat fruits, because in the future, the Halacha will be according to Shammai. You follow Beit Hillel, we follow Beit Shammai."
"It is written in Avodah Zarah (8a) that Adam HaRishon performed two Chanukahs: Chanukah according to Beit Shammai (who lights eight candles on the first day and decreases by one each day), and Chanukah according to Beit Hillel (who adds and increases, like us). And therefore, Yosef asks, 'Do you have a father or a brother?' (A-B like Beit Hillel or A-H like Beit Shammai)..."
"From sunrise to sunset, Avraham managed to circumcise one hundred thousand people! Because he had to do it 'on this very day,' because they wanted first and foremost to slaughter him and make shawarma out of him! (The Rav jokes). Shuvu Banim makes shawarma out of people for Melaveh Malkah... every time they catch someone, and if he isn't kosher, they make him kosher, they stick scales and fins on him, and then he's a fish..."
"What is 'the great crocodile that crouches in its rivers'? It is written, 'On that day, Hashem will punish with His hard, great, and strong sword Leviathan the fleeing serpent, and Leviathan the twisting serpent, and He will slay the crocodile that is in the sea' (Isaiah 27:1). 'Fleeing' is male, 'twisting' is female. And 'He will slay the crocodile that is in the sea'—that is the Tenth of Tevet! That is when we subdue the crocodile, which is the Yetzer Hara that resembles a crocodile and swallows people alive; it can even swallow lions! Like the lions that fled."
"Because Avraham jumped into the fire and said, 'Why was I not burned?! I wanted to die for the sanctification of Hashem!' Because the Tenth of Tevet is about dying for the sanctification of Hashem. People performed brit milah and jumped from rooftops because it was a death sentence. In Chanukah, the Hasmoneans—just like now, they want to forbid brit milah! Day and night, every hour they make a program in the media; in prison, we saw programs about how they want to abolish brit milah! Truly wicked, evil people!! There have been none like them since the creation of the world—and they are all reincarnations of snakes."
"So on that day, 'And He will slay the crocodile that is in the sea' (ibid)! It was the Tenth of Tevet, the yahrtzeit of Reb Noson—so it is the yahrtzeit of our Rebbe! Because the Rebbe and Reb Noson are one and the same."
"And through the songs and the Maariv prayer with intention, word by word, we slay all the crocodiles and all the snakes! And we will merit the complete Geulah speedily in our days, amen."
Thus far are the holy words of our teacher, the holy Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a.
To thank and praise, Father, thank you very much.
