For Prayer with Kavana:

Ribbono Shel Olam – Master of the World, Who can do everything, from Whom no plan is withheld, let me merit to the verse, “Set me as a seal upon Your heart, as a seal upon Your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is hard as the grave,” and may I get out of all debts so that not a penny of debt remains. May I merit to learn Shas Gemara, Rambam, Tur, Shulchan Aruch, and all their main commentaries, Rishonim and Achronim, Kitzot HaChoshen and Netivot HaMishpat, all the books of our holy and awesome Rebbe, and all the holy and pure books of Moharnat (Rabbi Natan). May I merit to see all the words and letters with the highest clarity and purity. Please Hashem, Who “has spoken good for Israel,” please let me merit for my daughters to be the most righteous in the generation like the five daughters of Tzelaphchad, and in the merit of that, “God, Slow to Anger and Abounding in Kindness and Truth,” pour out on the luminary of the sun the Thirteen Attributes of Mercy from the fifteen parshiot. May I merit to pray with all my 248 organs and 365 sinews, with all my Nefesh, Ruach, Neshama, Chaya, Yichida [the five levels of soul]. May I merit to focus on each word and letter, and that no word or letter should emerge from me without kavana, God forbid. May I merit to fulfill the verse, “a prayer to the God of my life,” and in the merit of this, to fulfill the saying of Yehuda ben Tema: “Be bold as a leopard, light as an eagle,, run like a gazelle, and mighty like a lion” to do the will of our Father in Heaven.

A heartfelt call to be saved from the depths of despair:

Ribbono Shel Olam – Master of the World, Full of Mercy, Who can do everything, from Whom no plan is withheld, You know my enormous fall – that I have fallen to the bottom hell and beneath it, to a place where no Jew has fallen before, and there is no fall like my fall, and no descent like my descent. Were it not for Your abundant mercies and Your tremendous kindnesses, that You have drawn me close to the Light of Lights, Intellect of Intellects, Elder of Elders, Merciful One among the merciful, I would already have been lost in my sorrow and despair.

Yet I have already placed my trust in You, and in the merit of our holy Rebbe, the Tzaddik who is the foundation of the world and who bears the entire world upon him -- even the biggest rishayim (evildoers), even a rasha like myself -- and he awaits for everyone to return to the Blessed One, fulfilling “My Beloved sent forth His hand from the portal,” sending me his hands -- even though I am immersed in the ultimate depths of the Sitra Achra (the forces of impurity) – and asking me to grip his holy hands, which are his wondrous Torah teachings, alluding to me with all types of allusions not to despair and to begin to pray with kavana (focused intention), to rise every night at Chatzot (halachic midnight), and to mourn and lament the destruction of the Holy Temple. And he hints to me to emerge from my enormous and deep downfall – worse than the bottom hell and beneath it -- and he calls to me like a shepherd who screams to his sheep, to emerge from the filth and quagmire into which I have fallen. And he hints to me that his tremendous mercies and wondrous kindnesses are still extended even to me, and that he has the power to extract me from the bottom hell and beneath it, if only I will incline my ears to his call and hints. For in every place that a peron might fall, Rabbeinu paved clear and solid paths and roads to emerge from there in a blink of an eye, and in a blink of an any eye to ascend on the path whose ascent is to Beit-El (the House of God), to shine with the light of life, and to bask in the pleasantness of the radiance of the Shechina (Divine Presence), which fills the entire space of the world for those who guard their brit (covenant) with the highest level of carefulness and holiness. May I merit to truly be included in the soul of our holy Rebbe, who is holy of holies, forever and ever.
