Regarding the Arab Protestors Being Guarded While We Are Attacked by the
Municipality - The Protest Camp Opposite Ayalon Prison, Ramla

After approximately one hundred people spent Shabbat in Ramla during Parshat Vayetzei 5782 with our teacher, the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, this is a wonderful opportunity to hear about the strengthening protest opposite the walls of Ayalon Prison.
In a fascinating conversation broadcast on Kav HaTzaddik (02-532-6502), Rabbi Aharon Schwartz spoke about the holy organization of the students and Chassidim of Breslov Shuvu Banim, together with the supporters and admirers of our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a—the burning ember only continues to grow stronger in anticipation of the tzaddik.
“Even though the Ramla municipality fights us and sends inspectors who, time and again, dismantle our tent, we do not despair, and each time we set everything back up again.”
Rabbi Schwartz describes the hardships that are the lot of the students of Rav Berland shlit"a, who, despite all the difficult years of persecution, continue to believe and cleave to their Rabbi, the true tzaddik.
“In the merit of the donations, we managed to obtain cooked food for Shabbat before the onset of the holy day, and we secured large water containers. This was the first Shabbat in Ramla since the entry of our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a into prison. Tents were set up there, and even entire families with children arrived to spend Shabbat opposite the tzaddik. The highlight was an 80-year-old grandmother who spent Shabbat in a tent together with her family.”
“Many people transcended themselves and gave up the conditions to which they are accustomed, and displayed self-sacrifice on Shabbat near the tzaddik.”
“It was a wonderful Shabbat; the Maariv prayer lasted about three hours with songs and dances, and the Shacharit prayer lasted about five hours. The Torah scroll that wandered with our teacher Rav Berland in exile was with us.”
“The surrounding residents and even the prison service personnel truly showed appreciation for all our activity. Although there are more people on Shabbat, throughout the entire week there are people at the site, both yeshiva students and married scholars.”
“The most absurd thing is that we are harassed endlessly, yet on Motzaei Shabbat, Arabs arrived there with Palestinian flags and sang songs of hatred against the State and the people of Israel, and the police were guarding them.”
“The most important thing is for the public to participate in the prayer rallies for our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a; it is important to come and pray for our Rabbi. There is a rally every day opposite the prison in Ramla at the corner of Lochamei Beitar street, between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 PM.”
