Watch the Hachnasat Sefer Torah Ceremony in Memory of Shimon Heller zt"l
Breslov Shuvu Banim Holy Community

We Shall Rejoice and Be Glad in This Torah – The Hachnasat Sefer Torah Ceremony for the prayer hall of our teacher, the holy Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, 29 Tevet 5782.
Every Hachnasat Sefer Torah ceremony is joyous and moving, all the more so when the Sefer Torah is written for the elevation of the soul of the young man Shimon Heller, z"l, of the Shuvu Banim Breslov community.
For the ceremony of writing the letters, Rabbi Natan Heller—the scribe who wrote the scroll, father of the late Shimon, and one of the esteemed and veteran students of our teacher, the Rav shlit"a—arrived at the home of our teacher, the holy Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.
Towards 6:00 PM, the Heller family arrived with Rabbi Natan Heller, may he be well, for the writing of the letters at the home of our teacher, Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a.
Afterward, the procession set out with the Sefer Torah from HaChoma HaShlishit Street, through Shivtei Yisrael Street, toward the prayer hall at 14 Ido HaNavi Street. There, the holy scroll was received with a blaze of dancing and joy by the multitude, followed by the Maariv prayer and a festive meal in the Beit Midrash hall.
