A Lesson for our followers (Anshei Shlomeinu) from the city of Modi'in Illit at the residence of the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

On Monday night, the eve of the 3rd of Kislev, Parshas Vayetzei, a lesson was held at the residence of the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, for the young married scholars (avreichim) of the Breslov Chassidim from the city of Modi'in Illit in the Brachfeld neighborhood. Before you is a summary of the topics that the Rav shlit"a discussed during the lesson:
If a woman is holy, she merits that her children will fly in the air. This is the secret of "Abigail, daughter of Nachash (snake)," who is like the snake that tastes nothing but dust; similarly, such a woman has no physical desires. The Chief of Staff and Yoav Gallant took all the weapons from the rapid response teams (kitot konenut), and this was intentional in order to cause Netanyahu's government to fall. Yishai (Jesse) did not know he had been deceived and thought that Nitzevet (his wife) had sinned with someone else, and thus David was a mamzer (illegitimate child). Shmuel (Samuel) passed all the brothers before him but did not see the Mashiach (Messiah), until he brought David from the field, and Hashem said to him, "Arise, for my anointed one stands while you are sitting." Bogie Ya'alon went crazy and speaks against the soldiers; this is what happens when a person does not study Torah and does not pray—he goes crazy. The Gemara (Talmud) in Yevamos says: Shaul (Saul) said, "I do not know who this David the King is." The law (halacha) that a "Moabite [man is forbidden] but not a Moabite [woman]" was hidden from him. Yishai would go out with a crowd (ochlosa) of six hundred thousand. Amasa ben Yeter stuck a sword in the Beis Medrash (study hall); it’s not that they decide laws with a sword, but rather this was the law and they did not want to accept it. Korach was among the bearers of the Ark (Aron) who would fly in the air, and because of this, he had a greater test (nisayon) to believe in Moshe Rabbeinu (Moses our Teacher). Eliyahu HaNavi (Elijah the Prophet) fasted 40 days and 40 nights, and Hashem asked him, "What are you doing here, Eliyahu?" in the cleft of the rock. He said he wanted the mouth of Moshe—"Mouth to mouth I shall speak with him"—and Hashem said that even if you fast for a billion years, it is impossible to be like Moshe. However, because he fasted, he merited the chariot of fire and horses of fire. "Your lips, O bride, drop like the honeycomb"—once, all women would fly in the air out of their intense longing for the Beis HaMikdash (Holy Temple). Asher was under a ban (cherem) for 250 years because they thought he revealed to Serach bat Asher—who sang to Yaakov Avinu (Jacob our Father) "Joseph is still alive"—the secret of the sale. The brothers knew that if Yaakov found out about the sale, he would be meticulous (yakpid—causing spiritual judgment) and they would all die on the spot. It is brought in the Pesikta that Yosef (Joseph) did not meet with Yaakov because of this. The dispute between Yosef and the brothers was whether they were considered "Bnei Noach" (children of Noah/Gentiles); if so, they would be liable for death because, according to Yosef's view, they ate "ever min hachai" (a limb from a living animal). There are opinions that it was only a "ben pekuah" (an embryo found alive in a slaughtered animal), or that it was poultry, which according to the Kereiti U'Pleiti's understanding of the Rambam (Maimonides), is not considered meat. Therefore, Yosef had the status of a "rodef" (pursuer) because he sentenced them to death. Rachel stole the "teraphim" (idols); Lavan (Laban) had a factory for teraphim by killing firstborns. Lavan caught up to Yaakov at Gilad, a hint to the Me'aras HaMachpelah (Cave of the Patriarchs), where he prayed that Esav (Esau) would also be buried in the cave. Chushim ben Dan did not wait for them to send Naftali, who could run to Egypt in seconds. This was one of the disputes between the brothers and Yosef—whether Naftali, who was the son of the handmaids, could be sold to earn great wealth since he was a "swift deer" (ayalah shelucha) and performed many missions with great speed. The brothers said, "We are guilty," only regarding "when he pleaded with us," and not regarding the sale itself. The brothers did not understand why the Viceroy (Yosef) needed specifically this goblet, since they had brought him much money; what interest did he have specifically in a silver goblet? Yosef told them that the goblet is for divination (nachash yenachesh), and then they would find Yosef and overturn all of Egypt. Yosef did not meet with Yaakov [privately] until his passing so that he wouldn't ask him how he was kidnapped to Egypt, for then he would know the brothers sold him, and Yaakov would be meticulous (yakpid) with the brothers and they would all die—just as Rachel died because she took the teraphim and Yaakov said, "With whomever it is found, he shall not live," not knowing that Rachel had taken them. Lavan would make teraphim from firstborns; therefore, Esav did not enter Lavan's house because he was a firstborn. But Serach bat Asher said, "Nothing matters to me; I am willing to die as long as the Tzaddik—Yaakov Avinu—is not in pain." They placed Asher under a ban (cherem) for 250 years because they thought he revealed the secret of Yosef's sale to Serach. In truth, she was a prophetess (neviah), and that is how she knew the story.
