A Lesson for the Residents of Bat Yam at the Residence of the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

On Monday, Parshas Mishpatim, the night of the 20th of Shevat, a lesson was held at the home of our teacher, the Rav (Rabbi Berland) shlit"a, for our followers from the city of Bat Yam. The lesson lasted about fifty minutes. Before you is a summary of the topics discussed during the lesson:

Shapur Malka (the King of Persia) asked the Sages why there is an Upper Garden and a Lower Garden, and the difference is the Green Line (Kav HaYarok). The secret of the Green Line is the connection between Rachel and Leah. Esther merited the Green Line; man came to the world to merit the Green Line. Miriam was unattractive because Hashem protected her for Caleb ben Jephunneh. The Green Line is the secret at the end of Tractate Uktzin, which concludes with the word 'Yarok' (Green)—which has the numerical value (Gematria) of 310, representing the 310 worlds (Shai Olamot) promised to the righteous. For no matter how much a person is humbled and shamed, he merits the Green Line, and this is the secret of "Precious in the eyes of Hashem is the death of His Chassidim (devout ones)." Moses argued with Hashem, saying, "I do not want to redeem the People of Israel," and similarly, before the Torah was brought down, he wanted Hashem to give the Torah through Rabbi Akiva. Albert Einstein understood all his studies during his vacation, and he invented the secret of splitting the atom. The airplane was also invented by Jews. Moses our Teacher saw Rabbi Akiva saying, "This is a law given to Moses at Sinai (Halacha LeMoshe MiSinai)," yet Moses did not understand what he was saying. He said, "Show me his reward," and he saw that they were weighing Rabbi Akiva's flesh in the market (after his martyrdom). He asked, "Is this the Torah and this its reward?" Hashem said to him, "Be silent, for so it arose in My first thought." Only the Tzaddik merits the Green Line, which renews the months, and this is the dispute—the Upper Garden is the Upper Tzaddik. One must study all the books, as well as the book of Rabbi Naftali Katz (Semichas Chachamim) who explains all of this; one should be at his Tziyun (gravesite). Enosh, at the age of six hundred and ninety-four, began to become confused about who created the world. The Emperor said to Rabbi Joshua ben Hananiah, "Your G-d is the first thief, for He stole the rib from Adam HaRishon (the first man)." His daughter said to him, "I will answer him." She said, "There were thieves who took silver but left gold." The Emperor said, "Let them come every day!" The same is true here: Hashem took a rib but brought a woman. The Midrash Rabbah says that the world is a sphere; in the past, they used to slaughter Jews who said the world was a sphere. The Pope from the time of the Holocaust sent Hitler a letter saying that his mission was to destroy "your" Jews. In Europe, if you say you want to murder the Jews, everyone elects you; in America, it is the opposite, for they are the children of Japheth. A silver bowl is the numerical value of nine hundred and thirty; this is to rectify the nine hundred and thirty years during which sparks (Nitzotzos) left Adam HaRishon. The first surrender agreement with Germany was on the Hiloula (anniversary of passing) of Rashbi (Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai), and the final signature with Japan was on the Hiloula of Rabbi Eleazar, his son. The Makova community was saved on the very last day before they wanted to throw everyone into the gas chambers, and then the surrender agreement occurred. All the sparks that left Adam HaRishon during those nine hundred and thirty years are the Hamas, who have now held hostages in chains for five hundred days. It is impossible to speak of what the female hostages endured there, may Hashem protect us (Hashem Yishmereinu), but all the female hostages keep Shabbat. Agam Berger's mother did not want to travel on Shabbat, so her daughter was released on Thursday. The hostages sang Shabbat songs (Zemiros) in captivity; everyone must sing Shabbat songs day and night. Every spark that leaves a man becomes four hundred million demons, and every Tikkun HaKlali (The General Rectification) kills all the demons that were created!
