"In This Generation Before Mashiach, the Hardest Trials Have Descended!" • The Daily Lesson from the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Before you is the full daily lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a – yesterday after the Maariv (evening) prayer, Wednesday, Parshas Shemini, the night of the 25th of Adar II:
"In the past, every girl knew how to fly in the air. Every girl would fly in the air—from Tzipori, Chanita, Shlomi, Kiryat Shmona, Meron. They all flew in the air. Serach bat Asher flew in the air; Devorah flew in the air. Because Mount Tabor was ten kilometers high and she would fly in the air. Therefore, when Devorah would prophesy after she broke the 'Xiaomi' (a brand of smartphone)—she broke it into pieces, shattered it—she received prophecies. Any girl who breaks her 'Xiaomi' will receive prophecies; she will prophesy and see from one end of the world to the other. Just like Chana, who saw from one end of the world to the other. 'The bows of the mighty are broken' (I Samuel 2:4)—she saw the bow of the Greeks. The Greeks ruled for 180 years over the entire world, as far as England. From India to England—'from India to Ethiopia'—they ruled 127 provinces. Until the Hasmoneans came, the Maccabees, the sons of Mattityahu. Rashi says they were twelve, including Yochanan and the brothers of Mattityahu—or if we only count five and not seven—so twelve children, Rashi says, subdued the whole world and conquered the whole world. They all flew in the air. They all broke their 'Xiaomi.' Every woman should break her 'Xiaomi' and her smartphone, and all the non-kosher devices. For every [forbidden] image one sees, they do not leave Gehennom (purgatory) even at the Techiyas HaMeisim (Resurrection of the Dead). It is billions of years in Gehennom for every single image a person is exposed to. It is worse than the Dor HaMabul (Generation of the Flood), worse than the Dor HaPalaga (Generation of the Dispersion). The Generation of the Flood didn't see 'Xiaomis' or smartphones. And now, this is before Mashiach (the Messiah), so the hardest trials (nisyonos) have descended. In this generation, the most difficult trials have come down. Every boy who holds his ground, every girl who holds her ground—it is as if they built the Beis HaMikdash (the Holy Temple). It is written in Pesachim 88a: every girl who overcomes her Yetzer Hara (evil inclination), it is as if she built the Beis HaMikdash. Because the Beis HaMikdash will be built only in the merit of the women, only in the merit of the girls. Because when Amram divorced Yocheved, he lost out, because Egypt did Teshuvah (repentance) in the days of Hezekiah. Hezekiah was a Gilgul (reincarnation) of Amram, says the Rama mi-Fano in 'Gilgulei Neshamot.' Hezekiah was Amram himself. For if Amram had not divorced Yocheved, he could have brought the whole world back in Teshuvah! All of Egypt in Teshuvah, and the whole world would have returned in Teshuvah. Just like in the time of King Hezekiah when the whole world did Teshuvah. When Merodach-Baladan the son of Baladan sent him gifts, he showed him the Kodesh HaKodashim (Holy of Holies), the Ark, and the Tablets. Then he lost out because he thought the Tablets were radioactive crystals. The whole matter is that the women drove the husbands out of the house—every woman needs to drive her husband out of the house [and say], 'What did you do making a Golden Calf?' The girls did not make the Golden Calf! The girls were not enticed, they were not confused. They [the men] were told about the 'Ox in the Chariot' and all sorts of nonsense, and they believed every bit of nonsense. The girls did not believe any nonsense. A girl doesn't believe in nonsense; she has her Emunah (faith). She is like a ruler—she is the most upright in the world. She is 'according to His will' (Kirtzono); Hashem created her according to His will and made her a pillar of steel. The woman is a wall of copper. 'If she is a wall, we will build upon her a turret of silver' (Song of Songs 8:9). A woman is a wall; she is a billion times stronger than a man. Therefore Amram... Serach bat Asher said... Sheba ben Bichri, the father of Jeroboam, wanted to remove David; he led a rebellion against David. There was the rebellion of Absalom, and there was the rebellion of the father of Jeroboam ben Nebat, Sheba ben Bichri. Suddenly he saw fire, so he said, 'This fire indicates the kingship; it is a sign that I will be the king.' That was Jeroboam. So he wanted to remove David from the kingship. Then Serach bat Asher stood on the wall in Abel-beth-maachah and said, 'I am of them that are peaceable and faithful in Israel' (II Samuel 20:19). For Serach was not afraid of anything. Because whoever would tell Jacob that at this very moment Joseph is alive... because there was a Cherem (excommunication/ban)—whoever reveals that Joseph is alive would die on the spot. Jacob said, 'What, you've been deceiving me for twenty-two years? Aren't you ashamed? What kind of grandson is this... what kind of grandchildren are these!?' I don't understand these grandchildren. Is this how grandchildren behave? They don't reveal to their grandfather that Joseph is alive; for twenty-two years they don't tell him. Each one of them possessed Ruach HaKodesh (Divine Inspiration); they all knew Joseph was alive. Those who sold him certainly knew Joseph was alive. They said, 'If we reveal it, he will put us all to death with a single look of disapproval (kapda).' Rachel stole the Teraphim (idols) and she died on the spot—so stealing a brother!? For twenty-two years!? Joseph the Tzaddik!!?? They all would have died on the spot! Serach bat Asher said, 'I agree to die, I don't care. I must take my grandfather out of his suffering. You have a poor grandfather sitting on the ground crying, dressed in sackcloth and ashes. Don't you have mercy on him? You don't pity him? I pity him. I don't care if I die.' And therefore she merited to enter Gan Eden (Paradise) with her physical body. And through this, may we merit the complete Geulah (Redemption) speedily in our days, Amen!".
