Now We Are Being Tested Once Again: In 11 Hours They Will Be Thrown Into the Street!

With Siyata D'Shmaya (Heavenly assistance), after great efforts, the administration of the 'Mitchabrim' (Connecting) Yeshiva has found a new plot of land where the young men can re-establish their home—a place that can serve as a true home for boys who haven't found their place anywhere else, a place they can connect to with bonds of eternal love.

We see them on every street, hanging out on the railings, near the shops, in the dark corners—children from good homes, full of energy, who somehow missed their way. They got stuck at a crossroads, and from there, they are slowly fading away.

We see them on every street, at all times; they are there on the fence with a look of despair in their eyes, hesitating, thinking. This is the second-to-last moment—if there isn't someone there to stop them, someone to hug them tight and not let them go.

'Mitchabrim' Yeshiva is not just a yeshiva; 'Mitchabrim' is a home—a loving and supportive home for young men who have already forgotten what love is. The yeshiva staff is there for them day and night, in difficult moments and in moving moments, embracing them, learning with them, and giving them the tools so they can build their own homes.

As in every place where there is Kedushah (holiness), the Sitra Achra (the 'Other Side'/forces of evil) intervenes and does not allow the holiness to rise. In the last five years, Mitchabrim Yeshiva has undergone difficult upheavals and tossings that would have dismantled and collapsed any other yeshiva. They moved from Sanhedria to Shmuel HaNavi, and from there to Ramat Eshkol, and they were evicted from there as well.

We were all shocked when the municipality destroyed a synagogue in Tel Aviv; we all wept along with the residents of Gush Katif when the fearsome bulldozers left no trace of the Batei Midrash (study halls) and yeshivas. But here, no one was shocked...

Despite clear written agreements and repeated promises from various activists, on a clear day, the Israel Police arrived with large forces and destroyed the yeshiva. They shattered into pieces the little bit of trust that remained in the boys of 'Mitchabrim' and threw them like dogs into the streets. No one cared; it didn't move anyone.

The young men stood around, tearing up and crying, unable to believe this was happening to them, unable to believe they had nowhere to go.

Now we are being tested once again!

Will we let them stay in the street? Will we cast them away to the winds? Or perhaps we will embrace them, give them the strength to continue, be there for them, and help them build their home? This is the test of our hearts, the test for all of us.

Please help us pass the test; help us succeed in the goal we have set. Enter now and donate >>>>
