Prayer for Shavuot

Master of the Universe, the Almighty, grant me the merit, in honor of the holiday of Shavuot, that my mind will be opened. May all the screens, partitions, and smoke be removed from me, and may I no longer have any screen or partition over my mind. May my mind be—from the holiday of Shavuot, which is the holiday of the Giving of the Torah—pure, clear, bright, and lucid. May I absorb everything I learn in mere seconds, without any hindrance, confusion, or hesitation, and may I no longer have any doubts during my studies.

May my learning illuminate me with a precious light, and may a precious, radiant light be seen upon me during my studies, just as it was seen upon Yonatan ben Uziel, Rabbi Akiva, Elazar ben Arach, and Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, who were surrounded by flaming fire during their studies. So too, may I merit to learn with tremendous fervor and immense passion, and may everyone see how flaming fire surrounds me during my studies, for "Chag HaShavuot" (the holiday of Shavuot) has the same gematria (numerical value) as "Torah tzivah lanu" (the Torah He commanded us).

May I merit to learn with a burning fire day and night, and through this, may I merit to enter the Garden of Eden with my physical body, just like Serach bat Asher. Through this, may I merit the level of Yechidah (the highest level of the soul), and may I merit the rebuilding of Jerusalem, our holy city. Through this, "Shout for joy to Hashem, all the earth; burst into jubilant song and make music." "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You, Hashem, my Rock and my Redeemer."

Disconnecting from Forbidden Love

Master of the Universe, grant me the merit to disconnect from flawed and forbidden love. May I emerge from all fallen loves and only love You with a true love. May I break free from the love of (women) (men), and in the merit of this, may I merit to see the revelation of Hashem, as it is said, "Hashem has bared His holy arm." Please, Hashem, "Hear this, all you peoples; listen, all you inhabitants of the world." In the merit of this, may I learn Torah day and night, as it is said, "Do not forsake My Torah." Through this, may I merit to enter the Garden of Eden with my physical body, and may I merit to learn for 1,000 years without stopping for even a moment or a second, as it is said, "For a thousand years in Your eyes are but as yesterday when it has passed."
